ALEXIS-CHARLES-HENRI CLÉREL DE TOCQUEVILLE (July 29, 1805 – April 16, 1859) was a French political thinker and historian best known for his Democracy in America (appearing in two volumes: 1835 and 1840) and The Old Regime and the Revolution (1856). In both of these works, he analyzed the rising living standards and social conditions of individuals and their relationship to the market and state in Western societies. Democracy in America (1835), his major work, published after his travels in the United States, is today considered an early work of sociology and political science.

By Bob Unruh, WND — Christian evangelist Franklin Graham, who heads both the relief and development group Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, has weighed in on the dispute in Alabama on whether courts can order states to acknowledge and support same-sex marriage as they have in dozens of other states.

His Facebook posting takes the dozens of orders from mostly federal judges across the country that have imposed same-sex marriage on populations that voted against the idea and puts them in perspective.

“No earthly court has jurisdiction over the infallible Word of God,” he said.

Graham noted the U.S. Supreme Court ruled Monday that the state of Alabama must recognize same-sex marriages in spite of that state’s overwhelming vote to prohibit them. Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore is defying the order, asking state probate judges not to issue licenses to gay couples....

While in Mexico, Erdogan expressed disgust over Obama’s failure to adequately address the issue as an anti-Muslim hate crime. Indications are that if this was a hate crime, it was committed by an angry liberal atheist against three members of a racist, anti-semitic Muslim Brotherhood front group.

Nonetheless, it didn’t take long for Obama to jump, after Erdogan told him how high he wanted him to....

By Robert Spencer, Jihad Watch — Damn the evidence, full speed ahead: Obama has declared the Chapel Hill murders a hate crime, and the Muslim advocacy groups in the U.S. are determined that they be treated as a hate crime, and now the “Palestinians” want in on investigating the “terrorist” act. That’s a great idea. It would be fitting to have an invented nationality that specializes in fabricating atrocities to claim for itself the mantle of victim investigating another case that is being used to claim victim status for an entire group.

The target of all this, of course, is not Craig Hicks. His situation will be the same either way. Whether he is a murderous Islamophobe or a psychotic who killed people over a parking space, he is still a murderer who committed heinous crimes for which he will be imprisoned for life or executed. The real targets of this mass hysteria calling for these murders to be investigated as a hate crime are those who supposedly created the climate of “hate” that led to his murders — that is, those who speak the truth about Islam and the jihad threat. And this is where this campaign is proceeding in the most flagrant disregard of the facts, since Hicks showed no sign on his Facebook page (on which he posted a great deal) of having any connection to “Islamophobes” or “Islamophobia,” and actually on several occasions showed the standard Leftist sympathy for Islamic supremacism.

But the facts don’t matter. The goal of the campaign to label these murders a hate crime is to silence criticism of Islamic jihad terror. This is being sold to Americans in this way: the first false claim is that people are angry with Muslims not because of jihad terror, but because of “Islamophobia” and the “hate campaign” supposedly led by “Islamophobes.” Thus silencing the “Islamophobes” will keep people from being angry with Muslims, and that will prevent more innocent Muslims like Hicks’ victims from getting killed.

This is hogwash, of course. People who are angry with Muslims are angry because of jihad terror, not because of “Islamophobic” propaganda. If the “Islamophobes” (remember: all critics of jihad terror are tarred with this name) are silenced, jihad terror will still remain, but it will be forbidden to discuss and oppose it. And that is the ultimate goal of this campaign: to allow the jihad to advance unopposed and unimpeded....

By Rip Curl, Ben Shapiro’s Truth Revolt — When President Obama unilaterally cleared the way for millions of illegal aliens to stay in the United States, he also set into motion a way for them to receive a huge amount of cash from the American taxpayer -- without having to do a thing.

Illegal aliens are now able to get Social Security numbers, and once they do, they can claim up to four years' worth of tax credits, which could be as much as to $24,000.

The payments -- dubbed "amnesty bonuses" by Republicans -- are only just now emerging as a prime reason Obama invoked executive authority. With 2016 coming fast, Democrats know Hispanics will be pleased with their windfall of free cash and vote for their party.

But Republicans are lining up to stop the bonuses. "I represent hard working, law-biding Texans," Rep. Sam Johnson, a senior Republican on the House Ways and Means Committee, told the Associated Press. "I think these amnesty rewards, and that's what they are, need to be stopped."

Four million to five million illegal aliens are now shielded from deportation under Obama's order. Republicans are threatening to hold up funding for the Department of Homeland Security to overturn the order. The department runs out of cash Feb. 27....

Conservatives and independents have real problems with this blatant, illegal usurpation of power that the Founders intended for the legislative branch of government. We have all watched as those here in the country illegally have demonstrated and even demanded equal rights and privileges as American citizens–as they are no longer afraid of law enforcement in this country.

Concerns about the effects on American workers, crime, and terrorism have been at the forefront of the discussion amongst the Right. However, the White House’s real agenda was made clear by officials testifying in front of Congress this week. The Washington Times reports:
President Obama’s temporary deportation amnesty will make it easier for illegal immigrants to improperly register and vote in elections, state elections officials testified to Congress on Thursday, saying that the driver’s licenses and Social Security numbers they will be granted create a major voting loophole.
Having illegals vote in elections in the United States illegally for Democratic candidates (who will then put into place laws that allow them and their friends and families to become citizens and hop on the American gravy train) is the Holy Grail for the Democratic (or should I say anti-American) Party. To the Left, the end justifies the means. With voter ID laws being passed around the country, an illegal with a drivers license and social security number can still vote!

What a deal!...
