“Look at verse 2 again... the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. The message title is “Killing In The Service Of God” ..killing in the service of God. You might want to hang onto this one. Are you ready? Here we go.
In old testament Israel, Jehovah God directly ordered the civil affairs of the nation. We know this. It was a true theocracy. God directly gave his divine revelation to the nation expecting complete and total obedience, with dire heavenly punishment over disobedience. God through divine revelation led Moses. The Mosaic Law was instituted under the very pen and mind of God. Direct revelation from Heaven to Moses, to the children of Israel. The Mosaic Law..direct revelation. Joshua, the Judges, all directly led by God to lead, many times, rebellions against the oppressors of Israel, bringing death to the enemies of Israel. God directly, divinely, leading these men. David, the annointed king of Israel, the prophet who received direct revelation from God, and who would give that revelation to the kings of Israel and Judah with expectations that those kings would submit to that divine revelation uttered by the prophet.” ...
