The February contract for West Texas Intermediate briefly fell to a session low of $49.95 earlier today, while Brent crude also hit a 5-½-year low. However, according to influential investor Gundlach, founder of Doubleline Capital, a fall to $40 could set in motion devastating global developments. “Oil is incredibly important right now,” Gundlach said in a recent interview with FuW. “If oil falls to around $40 a barrel then I think the yield on ten year treasury note is going to 1%. I hope it does not go to $40 because then something is very, very wrong with the world, not just the economy. The geopolitical consequences could be – to put it bluntly – terrifying.”

Anti-Islam Protests Pop Up in Germany, Others Counter Movement

According to the Associated Press, about several hundred Germans demonstrated in support of the nationalist ideology of a movement named Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamization of the West, or PEGIDA. However, thousands of counter-protesters showed up across four cities in Germany on Monday to denounce the movement's actions. "You're taking part in an action that, from its roots and also from speeches, one can see is Nazi-ist, racist and extremist," Cologne Cathedral provost Norbert Feldhoff said. "And you're supporting people you really don't want to support."

But the story took a strange turn when archaeologists started peeling away layers under the floor in an old abandoned building adjacent to the museum in Jerusalem's Old City. But, as they carefully dug down, they eventually uncovered something extraordinary: the suspected remains of the palace where one of the more famous scenes of the New Testament may have taken place - the trial of Jesus. That allowed a culture of death to flourish, and a century where governments committed mass "democide" and murdered 133.1 million of their own citizens.
Americans who think their country is too civilized to commit such barbarism may want to consider how average folks all around them have killed more than 56 million of America's most vulnerable citizens through abortion.
"Abortion I would say is the rock foundation of the culture of death," Jones said.
Jones asserts that violence in the womb cannot help but spread out beyond the womb.

By Lea Speyer, Breaking Israel News — The Israeli legal group Shurat HaDin, the Israel Law Center, filed lawsuits with the International Criminal Court (ICC) on Monday against three Palestinian Authority leaders for war crimes, human rights offenses and terrorism. The charges were filed following PA President Mahmoud Abbas’s move to join the ICC in order to prosecute Israel for war crime. Indictments were brought against members of Abbas’s Fatah party: PA Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah; Deputy Minister Jibril Rajoub; and PA Intelligence Chief Majed Faraj. The lawsuit filed against Faraj and Hamdallah detail the widespread use of torture and murder of Palestinian civilians living in PA controlled territories, a statement released by the group said.
