SERMON OPENING REMARKS
Jesus said people who use their tongue to lie about innocent people, to backbite innocent people, to slander innocent people, in the eyes of God are committing spiritual murder. In the eyes of God they are in the same judgment as those who kill people because they are killing innocent people’s reputations, they are killing their honor, they are killing their integrity. If they have a calling of God on their life they are attempting to murder the calling in the anointing of God on their life. They are trying to undo what God has done and is doing in that person’s life. They’re trying to destroy what God has wrought. God is equating the tongue to murder. Our churches across America are filled with backbiting, gossiping, slandering murderers who are destroying, or at least attempting to, the work of God. In the eyes of the Lord it’s spiritual killing...
