The House Committee lead by U.S. Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) delivered a subpoena to FBI acting assistant director for congressional affairs Jason Herring. The subpoena covered the entire FBI investigative file, not just the documents the bureau has already provided.

Chaffetz and other Republicans on the panel said the bureau has withheld summaries of interviews with witnesses and unnecessarily blacked out material from documents sent last month. They are growing frustrated with the “stonewalling” they are getting from both the FBI and key witnesses in the case.

“WE DECIDE WHAT’S RELEVANT—NOT THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, NOT THE FBI,” CHAFFETZ SAID. “WE ARE ENTITLED TO THE FULL FILE.”

Herring and six other Obama administration officials appeared before the committee to answer congressional questions about the investigative files and what is in them. On several occasions, the lawmakers were told the answers couldn't be given in an open forum due to their highly classified nature, resulting in the remainder of the session being held in secret.”

OUR APOLOGIES TO BILL CLINTON...


Informing and Equipping Americans Who Love Freedom


If we don’t impeach Barack Obama for what he has done,
it’s only right that we should kneel before Bill and beg his forgiveness.

Dave Merrick, Western Journalism — Daily, we read new installments of the harshest criticism of our president. And, given my respect for the office he holds, I sometimes question the ‘appropriateness’ of the more brutal of those barrages. But when I find myself questioning that, I am instantly reminded that HE HAS WORKED HARD, AND AGAINST THE TIDE OF CONSTITUTIONALITY AND PUBLIC OPINION, TO EARN EVERY SYLLABLE OF OUR DISAPPROVAL. Suddenly, I become the man in a satin-lapelled smoking jacket, clutching a beer, saying, “I don’t often talk smack about our president, but when I do… It’s totally because Barack Obama really is a malevolent louse.”

Barry is building his ‘Barackracy’ here in this nation – and I don’t see that we will ever be able to undo the damage he’s done. I am stunned that, with all the eloquent warning pouring forth from so many respected voices, nationally and around the world, only a precious few seem to be paying any attention to their cautions. Obamania is tearing the guts out of our nation – and who, really, is now leading the charge to reclaim the ground we’ve lost?

For the past five years, there have been pop-up thumbnails all over the Internet (“Click here to impeach Obama!”) or on Facebook (“Like us if you think it’s time to impeach Obama!”) Most of those are just sales scams using a hot topic to acquire an e-mail address or a wedge in to your Facebook page. Nevertheless, I believe that a plurality of Americans would kick doors down and/or nearly lacerate themselves if the click of a mouse would actually get the ball rolling toward impeachment. Most of a jellyfish Congress pays lip service to impeachment to placate their desperate constituencies – but only a precious few seem committed enough to take action. Thirty years ago, a Barack Obama would have been impeached, prosecuted, and sentenced to life in the electric chair – long before he’d have the opportunity to eviscerate our nation to the point he has today.

Our president, who touts himself as a constitutional scholar/professor, has ordained himself as both a lawmaker and a lawbreaker. Neither of those functions are included in his job description – and he knows that. It would seem to me that – at some point in time, out of our 320 million Americans – a formidably determined group of adamantly patriotic people with authority could be mustered to get this maniac under control BEFORE AMERICA IS NO MORE. Short of revolution, what other arbitration is available to the people who still value what’s left of the precious spirit of our Constitution? And, while we’re at it, can we also implement enough common sense to rally in solidarity? I mean, do we really want to split the ticket in our next presidential election? God help us to use the brains He’s given us.

And the whole world is watching. How can we criticize a Vladimir Putin or a Kim Jong-un for acting exactly like what they are? America, like it or not, is the constable that historically has at least containerized so many cocky tyrants in our fallen world. Yet now, our internal compromises have effectively made us complicit with their recent advances. Evil is on the upswing; and that has everything to do with the messages we send out to our enemies, who are everywhere. We are a different nation now. America is no longer the first class power that you don’t mess with. Instead, our current chief executive made his opening statements by bowing before oil-rich, Islamic trailer trash – and his wife doesn’t think twice about stepping off Air Force One looking like she and the kids have been dumpster diving.

to Deliberately Run America Aground?

Reagan is gone. The Bushes are gone. Serious government in America and majestically empowered diplomacy is visibly retired, and so Vladimir Putin obviously feels like it’s safe to finally stretch his legs. And why would we be shocked? He’s just reviving the objectives of his heroes of cold-war Russia. He’s waited, probably with his mouth agape in disbelief, watching a nincompoop puppet (or maybe the two are in league?) deliberately run America aground on the Straits of Confusion and Bankruptcy. And now he knows it’s safe to drive through anybody’s yard without fear of reprisal. Thank you, Barack; you’ve made the world safe for everything BUT democracy. And we have ourselves to thank for giving you the carte blanche to become a second Benito Mussolini (on steroids).

America needs to get used to this sort of aggression from other world powers as well. It’s inevitable. We’ve earned that. We need to remember that the world is involved in a constant card game in which the stakes are lethal. Right now, all of our cards are completely showing; and everyone can see that our hand is worthless and that our stack is depleted. Will we ask China for the money to defend ourselves against Russia, North Korea, or Iran when they decide to fire their missiles in our direction? That’ll be nice, won’t it? Thank you, Barry, for so compromising every asset we’ve worked so hard to attain – our once strong military, what was left of our ailing economy, the vestiges of a nascent and tenderly healing, racial harmony, and what used to be the world’s best healthcare system – to the point that America is beginning to look more and more like the Third World country in your communist father’s dreams.

And you, Barry – you grew up riding the very same strong and benevolent system that you are today destroying. All the while, in siding with those who hate America, you were biting the hand that was enabling you. Today, you have the ‘audacity’ to vilify the people who protest the violence of your crafty demagoguery.

Another severe criticism recently came from constitutional law professor Jonathan Turley – and he was only reporting the facts when he said: “The problem with what the president is doing is that he’s not simply posing a danger to the constitutional system, he’s becoming the very danger the Constitution was designed to avoid.” It’s becoming increasingly clear that BO doesn’t mind the criticism – he expects it. He bargained for it because he knows exactly what he’s doing: bleeding America to death and taking her down, one piece at a time. He so richly deserves all the harsh and unrelenting criticism that this country can throw at him. I miss the America that was here before he got ahold of her, and I will criticize him as long as there is a Constitution alive to guarantee me that right.

We once impeached William Jefferson Clinton for lying about a liaison with an impressionable White House intern. If we don’t impeach Barack Obama for what he has done, it’s only right that we should kneel before Bill and beg his forgiveness. » Full Article

Caroline Schaeffer, Independent Review Journal — We may be paying for Michelle Obama to bring her mother and daughters to China, but don’t expect to hear anything about it. The First Lady will not be accompanied by the press, and there are no interviews scheduled.

Mrs. Obama is making the trek with her mother and her two daughters, and the White House is justifying the lack of press coverage by emphasizing that this trip represents a “person-to-person exchange” to emphasize the importance both countries place on education.

The Administration is also justifying the large number of family members traveling with the most bogus cop-out ever by saying that it’s a matter of culture.

Tina Tchen, Mrs. Obama’s chief of staff and a first-generation Chinese-American, said a multigenerational visit would be appreciated by the Chinese, who value tradition.
The White House has not disclosed how much money this will cost American taxpayers.

So we’re paying for the Obama ladies to vacation in a country across the world, where they’re planning to do no diplomatic business, and they’re refusing press coverage and not telling us how much it will cost? This, a month after Michelle, Sasha and Malia flew to Aspen, and after Michelle had an extended vacation in Hawaii in celebration of her birthday in January.

Who do these people think they are? And how are we letting them get away with using our money for vacations and then refusing press coverage? This is not a monarchy, Mr. President, even though you think you can do whatever you want. » Full Article

By Michael Snyder, The American Dream — There is a raging epidemic of sexual assault in the U.S. military. A report released by the U.S. Department of Defense says that an astounding 12,000 women serving in the U.S. military were sexually assaulted in 2012. This is a national disgrace, and any U.S. service member that rapes a woman deserves the death penalty in my opinion. It has gotten so bad that a female service member serving in Afghanistan is more likely to be raped by a male service member than she is to be killed by the Taliban. But that is only half the story. Sexual assault against males is at an epidemic level in the U.S. military as well. In fact, according to the same report that I just mentioned, there were 14,000 sexual assaults against men serving in the U.S. military during 2012. That means that most of the sexual assaults in the military are actually male on male. The following is an excerpt from an article in the New York Times…
According to the Department of Defense’s Military Sexual Assault Report for 2012, an estimated 26,000 members of the United States military, both men and women, were sexually assaulted in that year. The Pentagon survey almost certainly underreports the scale of the issue. Of those sexual assaults, 53 percent (approximately 14,000 in 2012) were attacks on men.
The study also found that male service members are far less likely to report when they are attacked, and when a report is made, military authorities are far less likely to go after the perpetrator…
These men — an estimated 13,900 last year alone — are far less likely than women to report an attack. Only 13 percent of reports last year were filed by men, military data show.

But the disparities do not end there. The Sun found that when men do report a sexual assault, military authorities are less likely to identify a suspect, to refer charges to court-martial or to discharge the perpetrator than in cases in which the victim is a woman.
Fortunately, after years of denial this issue is starting to come to the forefront. Some prominent retired officers are even speaking out about this.

For example, Major General Dennis J. Laich says that the military brass “should be asking for forgiveness” from the thousands of victims that never got justice…
The chain of command “should be asking for forgiveness” from the thousands we have failed to serve and protect over the past 25 years, former Maj. Gen. Dennis J. Laich (ret.) told reporters during a press call. “When an American female service member serving in Afghanistan has a higher probability of being raped by a fellow soldier than being killed by the Taliban, I would submit that the chain of command has a problem,” he continued.
When we can’t even protect members of our own military, we have got a major problem on our hands.

During 2012, more than 85,000 military veterans were formally treated for sexual abuse that they suffered while serving in the U.S. military.

And even though they are less likely to come forward for treatment, 40 percent of those that were treated were men.

Things have gotten so bad at this point that even military recruiters have become known for sexually assaulting those that they are recruiting. According to the Washington Post, the Pentagon is pledging to do something about this growing problem…
“The secretary has made it clear that we will spare no effort to rid our military of sexual abuse,” said George Little, the Pentagon press secretary. “The fact that there have been problems of sexual abuse during the recruiting process is simply intolerable.”
When you get sexually assaulted, it can absolutely shatter your life – especially if you never get any justice. This is one of the reasons why the suicide rate in the U.S. military is so high.

Most people don’t realize this, but the number of active members of the U.S. military that kill themselves each year now exceeds the number that are dying on the battlefield.

And according to one absolutely shocking study, 22 military veterans kill themselves in the United States every single day.

Clearly something is very wrong with the U.S. military.

Most of the time, the stories of these victims of sexual assault in the military never get told. But fortunately a few of them are starting to get out there. For example, consider what happened to former Marine Lance Corporal Jeremiah Arbogast…
His eyes low, focused on the prepared statement in front of him, Arbogast recounted the details of his own sexual assault and its equally horrifying aftermath. He was drugged to the point of incapacitation and sexually assaulted by a fellow marine, a former staff sergeant, while on active duty. “I was humiliated at the thought of my helplessness,” he said.

Two months after the attack, incessant nightmares, anxiety, depression and confusion finally overpowered his fear and embarrassment and Arbogast confronted a base social worker who reported the attack to the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, which investigates crimes involving Naval or Marine Corps personnel. This would only further his humiliation, Arbogast came to find out. He said he was forced to make recorded phone calls to his rapist and even confront him at his house while wearing a wire in order to get a confession. He accomplished his mission, but his nightmare was far from over. Arbogast’s attacker was arrested and hit with several charges including sexual assault and sodomy, but after only a week in court, evidence shed light on his 23 years of service and he walked away with a bad conduct discharge and no jail time. Arbogast said his rapist was ordered to NCIS headquarters for fingerprinting only to reveal that he’d dulled the skin on his fingertips, and that he managed to refuse to register on the sex offender database by simply saying, “No, I don’t have to.”

This has got to stop.

The U.S. military is supposed to be the most highly disciplined fighting force on the planet, and there is no excuse for this.

Sadly, the reality is that what is going on in the military is simply a reflection of society as a whole.

America has become a giant cesspool of filth and corruption, and this is manifesting itself in thousands of different ways.

If it was up to me, every member of the U.S. military that rapes someone would get the death penalty.

But it is not up to me. Instead, political correctness has taken over the U.S. military and we have an administration that treats military veterans like absolute garbage.

So let us hope that things in the military start to get better, but I wouldn’t count on it. » Full Article
