DEMOCRAT CHAIR GOES NUCLEAR OVER ABORTION WAITING PERIOD, OK WITH ABORTING 7-POUND BABY

The Democratic Party’s Position Is Pro-Abortion

by Dave Andrusko, Life News — I am convinced if a bill was proposed that said abortion clinics in Florida must have an actual address (as opposed to a PO Box), Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz would indignantly announce that it is a “dangerous step toward the ultimate goal sought by some Republicans: banning all abortions,” as she did today in explaining her opposition to a 24-hour waiting period bill.

To be clear, it is true that Wasserman Schultz, who pulls double duty as a congresswoman and chair of the Democratic National Committee, hyperventilates at a drop of a pro-life hat. So we shouldn’t be terribly surprised–or surprised at all–that she would claim that such commonsense legislation “will increase suffering for women and their children — and might cost some their lives,” according to the Florida Sun Sentinel’s Anthony Man.

Wasserman Schultz and a handful of similarly-minded people held a news conference this morning at in the courtyard of the Federal Courthouse in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Gov. Rick Scott is expected to sign the bill–passed overwhelmingly in both houses–in short order, so Wasserman Schultz had to hustle if she was going to get her demagoguery for the day in before HB 633 is law.

At the risk of stating the obvious (to anyone other than the Wasserman Schultzes), waiting periods don’t cost lives, they save lives. But, of course, those lives–the unborn’s–don’t matter.

After all this is the same woman who got into a sparring match with pro-life presidential candidate Rand Paul (R-Ky.) over whether Wasserman Schultz was okay with aborting a seven-pound unborn baby. Answer? Of course, she was.

“We have very different definitions of personal liberty,” she said. “The Democratic Party’s position is that we are pro-choice.”

Mr. Man’s article ended with “This article will be updated. Check back for more.”

He is correct. Wasserman Schultz will probably add something equally over-the-top in the next couple of hours.

President Obama has been holding a White House summit on countering violent extremism. Note how the summit doesn’t want to describe the violence being discussed as Islamic, just violent extremism. John feels our leaders aren't in the fight at all and that although they refuse to call it what it is, this is Islamic jihad. To prove the point, he noted that the strategic communications director for counter intelligence is Rashad Hussain, a Muslin Brotherhood operative in the U.S.

So what has been the response from Washington? Vic noted a comment made by State Department spokesperson Marie Harf who said we cannot stop the Islamic State by killing them. Instead we need to look at the root problem and their poor economy and help them get jobs.

John responded by noting how interesting it is that President Obama isn't talking about defeating ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbolla, etc. and being victorious. During World War II we didn't stop to ask what the root cause was for Hitler's actions. We never asked why North Korea is so aggressive to South Korea. This is not how you wage war. We should not want to go to war but when we do, we should go to win and try to obliterate the enemy and anything short of that means defeat for us. This is the same enemy that puts people in cages and sets them on fire and cuts the heads off of 5 and 6 year old children. Is this the enemy we want to lose to or do we want to utterly defeat them?

Why is it that our government can’t seem to understand that the Islamic groups that are waging war against us don't describe themselves as violent extremists but instead describe themselves as Muslims who are waging jihad in the cause of Allah? The answer to that question may hold the key to understanding the political left's marriage to the Islamic Jihad.

TPNN Staff — Texas Gov. Rick Perry issued a scorching video of belligerent drunk Rosemary Lehmberg, the Travis County District Attorney behind the junk indictment issued by the drunk-driving Democrat.

The video, published on Tuesday, is entitled “Setting the Record Straight.” It begins with a sober, made-up Lehmberg stating “The mission of my office is to see that justice is done.” Lehmberg heads up the state’s “Public Integrity Unit.”
