C. Ervana - Video Published 09.03.16: Many things are happening now showing a massive falling away from the faith. Pope Francis is leading this effort. We have seen his infiltration of several events in the United States including Together 2016. But there are other events, including Word Explosion Kingdom Come 2016, and The Gathering 2016. Pope Francis' vassal, Nick Hall, appears to behind both Together 2016 and The Gathering 2016. The Gathering is around the time of the construction of the Arch of Triumph, also known as the Triumphal Arch or Arch of Palmyra, in New York City (which will be erected around September 19-21, though this is subject to change).

There is also news coming out of Israel that a Kohen Gadol, or High Priest, has been selected to lead the sacrificial system. The last official High Priest appears to have served from 67-70 A.D., roughly around the time of the destruction of the Temple. This High Priest was the last of the Herodian dynasty of the Levitical Priesthood, known for being highly corrupt, especially under Caiaphas and his interaction with the Lord Jesus. From Time-Warner Cable's Papal Visit Channel to the throngs of people who waited hours on end just to catch a glimpse of him, over the past several days we've seen just how messiah-like the reception has been toward Pope Francis.

Just because Pope Francis represents a religion of approximately 1.2 billion people around the world, does that justify the kind of reception he received and the titles he claims such as Holy Father and Vicar of Christ?

Joining Jim to look at these and other questions was Mike Gendron. For over 30 years Mike was a devout Roman Catholic and was taught to rely upon the authority of the church. He followed the priests, the sacraments and was depending upon his own good works for salvation. However in 1981 after attending an apologetics seminar called, 'Evidence for the Christian Faith' the Bible became his sole authority in all matters of faith. As he searched the Scriptures he was amazed to see how often the Bible contradicts the teaching and tradition of the church he had been a part of for so long. Mike placed his trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and the Bible became his sole authority in all matters of faith. He founded a ministry, 'Proclaiming the Gospel' that points people to Jesus Christ as the all-sufficient Savior.

Mike began by quoting Jesus who said, “I have come in my Father’s name and you do not receive me. If another comes in his own name you will receive him.” John 5:43 Since this was the reaction of so many to the Pope, Mike sees the throngs of people as victims of the worst kind of deception, following a mortal man rather than Christ and his Word for the answers to life's most critical issues. Mike feels this scene will be played out again when the false prophet points the world to the anti-Christ.

We know that there’s only one Holy Father. Mike noted that this expression is used only one time in the New Testament. That was when the Lord Jesus Christ prayed to the one and only Holy Father in his high priestly prayer from John 17. So for the Pope to be acknowledged as the Holy Father, Head of the Church and the Vicar of Christ on earth, those are titles given to the triune God.

Paul warned us in 2 Corinthians that such men (as the Pope) are false apostles. They are deceitful workmen disguising themselves as apostles of Christ and no wonder for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it's no surprise if his servants disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. That makes the Pope clearly a pawn of Satan, carrying out his agenda to deceive the world.

Mike carefully noted that he doesn't present this warning to be harsh but instead to warn Roman Catholics that you must look to Christ and his Word as your supreme authority for truth.

The UK Independent reports that “an historic meeting between Pope Francis and Patriarch Kirill of the Russian Orthodox Church is “getting closer every day,” a senior Orthodox prelate has said. The unprecedented meeting would be a significant step towards healing the 1,000-year-old rift between the Western and Eastern branches of Christianity, which split in the Great Schism of 1054.

“Now such a meeting is getting closer every day but it must be well prepared,” Metropolitan Hilarion, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church’s foreign relations department, said in an interview with Italy’s Corriere della Sera newspaper.”

The Russian Orthodox Church has accused Catholics of using their new freedoms of religion following the break-up of the Soviet Union in the early 1990s to try to convert people from the Orthodox, a charge the Vatican has denied.
