HOW EVOLUTION INFILTRATED SCHOOLS AND UNIVERSITIES

THE HEAVENS DECLARE THE GLORY OF GOD!

Evolution is taught as undisputed fact in public schools across the nation. Each day millions of children learn that life arose naturalistically over millions of years of slow, gradual processes. They learn that we’re all related through one common ancestor, most recently an ape-like ancestor. Students are rarely taught the major problems with evolutionary ideas (and trust me, there’s plenty of baseless speculation!) and they certainly aren’t given any alternatives. But it wasn’t always this way.

In the Western world, the biblical history provided in Genesis WAS the explanation given for the origin of life and the universe until the widespread acceptance of Darwinian ideas. After World War I a movement that opposed evolution began and, under the leadership of a U.S. politician by the name of William Jennings Bryan, teaching evolution was banned in many states. In other words, parents thought it was dangerous to teach their children that they were nothing more than a highly-evolved animal! I don’t blame them!

THEIR CHILDREN THAT THEY WERE NOTHING MORE THAN A HIGHLY-EVOLVED ANIMAL

But in 1968 the Supreme Court ruled that laws, specifically laws in Arkansas, prohibiting the teaching of evolutionary ideas violated the First Amendment. The justices ruled that the Establishment Clause prohibits the state from advancing a religion and that teaching creation (to the exclusion of evolution) advanced a specific religion. This meant the justices had interpreted the Establishment Clause to mean states were unable to both establish a religion and further religion.

In 1987 the Supreme Court again ruled in favor of evolution, stating that EVEN giving creation EQUAL time with evolution was also unconstitutional. And in 2005 even the teaching of Intelligent Design in the science classroom—which doesn’t even name the Creator—was labelled unconstitutional. Modern movements trying to pass laws that require teachers to teach the problems with evolution have been largely unsuccessful.

Creation was kicked out of public schools and a naturalistic philosophy that seeks to explain all of life apart from God took its place. When the teaching of creation was removed from public schools, religion wasn’t kicked out. Creation and God’s Word was simply REPLACED with man’s ideas (or beliefs) about the past based on atheism and naturalism. And, sadly, millions of kids are being indoctrinated into a belief system that isn’t even scientifically sound – much of it, taken on faith.

HOW EVOLUTION CREPT INTO THE CHURCH

Many people, including many Christians, take the idea of millions of years for granted. They simply assume it’s true and try and fit the long ages somehow into the Bible. But it wasn’t always this way. The earliest geologists used the Bible’s framework of a few thousand years of history and a word-changing global Flood to explain the rock layers and fossils. But then along came geologists who rejected God’s Word (and, largely, ignored God.) They sought to explain everything they saw through naturalistic assumptions and the idea of long ages for earth’s history became popular. But some geologists, known as the catastrophists, argued that there was evidence of catastrophes in earth’s past and this was evidence for Noah’s Flood. They still accepted the long ages, but said that some layers showed evidence of the Flood. This subtly undermined God’s Word, by reinterpreting Genesis, and allowed long ages of time to creep into the church. » Learn more

The scene was set for the acceptance of Darwin’s evolutionary ideas long before Darwin ever visited the Galapagos Islands. In the 1600’s the science of geology was born as people began collecting rock samples and theorizing about the rocks as well as the fossils inside them. THE BEAUTY OF GOD’S CREATION

The beauty of God’s creation shows order and design so complex that it could never have been formed by a chance explosion 14 billion years ago. As we study the sciences and learn more about creation, we begin to understand how little we really know.

A look at mankind himself reveals amazing design, and we read in Psalms that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. The book of Isaiah tells us that Earth was specially formed to be inhabited. It was created with purpose, and is full of wonders without number.

It is only through our sin that destruction, death, and disease has crept into the world, but even this was made provision for... God sent His only Son, the Creator of the Universe, to pay the penalty for our sins, and offer eternal life in a new heavens and a perfect new earth.

With this promise to look forward to, we have nothing to fear. If you don’t know Jesus Christ as your Savior, it only takes a sincere heart and a simple prayer. It will change your life forever, and offer you peace that passes all understanding.

CNN STATES THE BIBLE IS FALSE!

WHAT WOULD JESUS BELIEVE?

[A 2011 article] appeared on CNN entitled: “Jesus would believe in evolution and so should you"

Well, perhaps the author of that article failed to read the words of Jesus when He said: “From the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.”

The Dr. who wrote the piece also said:
“There is much evidence for evolution. The most compelling comes from the study of genes.”

These genes are associated with our DNA. A cursory examination of DNA reveals that not only is it so incredibly complex, but the chances of getting DNA even close to what we find in most life through chance, is truly impossible - even given the evolutionary time frame of millions of years.

Look at what the article states as fact:
“We now know that the human race began millions of years ago in Africa - not thousands of years ago in the Middle East, as the story in Genesis suggests.”

This author apparently doesn’t even know that the Biblical account does not tell us that life began in the Middle East. He is so enamored with the evolutionary science, and the twisted facts behind it, that he doesn’t even know what the Bible really says.

According to the Gallup Poll that the author cites in his article, more people still believe that God created humans a relatively short time ago (what we read in the Bible), than do people that believe that God used evolution to form us from nothing.

Yes, some people still believe that God created the heaven and the Earth in six days - including us as complete beings.

EARTH MADE UNIQUE IN ALL THE UNIVERSE - OUR SPECIAL EARTH:THE CREATOR’S VISIT

As a Christian, I believe that the Earth is very special. The Genesis account of creation focuses almost entirely on the formation and development of Earth.

The prophet Isaiah states: "Thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited." - Isaiah 45:18

To date, Earth is still the only known inhabited planet in a vast universe. That makes us pretty unique. But, for believers, there is something far more significant.

Not only does man live on Earth, but the Creator Himself, in the form of Jesus Christ, came to this Earth to live as man, die for our sins, and offer redemption to the world.

John 1 says "The Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."

Yes, that makes Earth very special. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16

LET’S TALK ABOUT ASTRONOMY FOR A MINUTE - BIG BANG PROBLEMS

Let’s talk about Astronomy for a minute.... The Bible says the heavens declare the glory of God but there is a theory that says that 14 billion years ago, everything started on its own, purely by accident. But how do you even get the first star to form when a Big Bang would send all the matter on a trajectory that moved matter farther apart, not together? Forget that troubling question... how about Harvard Smithsonian center for astrophysics which brings up another big problem.... if the Big Bang is true, then where did the matter come from in the first place? There are some big holes in the Big Bang theory, and the scientific study of magnetic fields around planets actually shows that many (or all) cosmic bodies may have been formed only thousands of years ago. Perhaps on day 4 of Creation Week?
