Jason Howerton, TheBlaze — President Barack Obama “committed professional suicide” this week, former CNN host Piers Morgan argued in a Wednesday column for MailOnline.Morgan, who was recently named editor-at-large of MailOnline in the U.S., accused the president of managing to “single-handedly alienate 200,000 employees in the American intelligence agencies by going on 60 Minutes and ruthlessly chucking them all under a bus over the rise of terror group ISIS.”
Citing New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Morgan slammed Obama for saying “they” instead of “we” when discussing the failure of the United States to effectively respond to the Islamic State terror threat.
“A more shameless, reprehensible display of buck-passing it would be hard to find from a sitting President,” he wrote.
He also referred to a “theory” in politics that “once a leader has fired 50 or more people from his or her administration, he or she is finished.”

Obama prides himself on a ‘leading from behind’ American strategy to confronting global terrorism and the current chaos raging throughout the Middle East.
But refusing to intervene in conflicts like Syria has so far proved to be spectacularly self-defeating.
Far from making America stronger, Obama has made the world’s greatest military power look weak.

Morgan went on to criticize Obama’s “enthusiasm” for golf, noting that he has played 192 rounds since becoming president. He joked that “even Rory McIlroy would struggle to match such enthusiasm for the game.”
The ex-CNN host also speculated that Islamic State terrorists must have felt “emboldened” to see the president of the United States giving a statement on the beheading of American journalist James Foley — and then out smiling on the golf course just seven minutes later.

Saudi Arabian authorities have stepped up safety and security measures, and there is a long list of troubles they hope to avoid: crime, fire, stampedes, and the spread of infectious disease.
This year’s Hajj is shadowed by both the terrorist threat posed by Islamic State (IS) jihadists and the possible Ebola contagion. Over 98,000 have been prevented from entering by Saudi authorities for security reasons or due to a lack of authorization. Massive preventative measures have been taken by Saudi Arabia
New estimates by the World Health Organization and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are warning that the number of Ebola cases could soar dramatically in the weeks and months ahead. The CDC says that unless efforts to curb the outbreak are ramped up significantly and quickly, the disease could infect up to 1.4 million people by mid-January in two nations, Sierra Leone and Liberia, alone.
Some epidemiologists are saying that there will be between 77,000 and 277,000 cases of Ebola by the end of 2014.
