ROBERT SPENCER, FRONTPAGE MAG — Ohio State University student Abdul Razak Ali Artan on Monday morning set off a fire alarm on campus, the drove his car into the crowd of students evacuating the building. Then he jumped out of his car and began stabbing people with a butcher knife. In a departure from the usual denial and obfuscation, Columbus Police Chief Kim Jacobs was refreshingly honest, saying: “I think we have to consider that it is” a terror attack. Leftists took advantage of the occasion to call for gun control, which might have been a cogent argument were it not for one inconvenient detail:
Artan didn’t have a gun. But above all, Artan was a “refugee”: THE ATTACK VINDICATES PRESIDENT-ELECT TRUMP ON MUSLIM IMMIGRATION.

Artan was no poster boy for gun control, but he may have been one for the Islamic State, which issued this call in September 2014:

The president will purportedly bypass Congress and crack down on small scale gun sellers. Fox News reports the plan would require gun sellers to order background checks on prospective buyers and tighten laws for gun sales to those who have committed domestic-abuse offenses.

IF THE WHITE HOUSE REALLY WANTS TO CRACK DOWN ON GUN VIOLENCE -- MAYBE THEY SHOULD ENFORCE THE LAWS THAT ARE ALREADY ON THE BOOKS.


But that’s not the point. THIS PRESIDENT ULTIMATELY WANTS TO DISARM THE NATION.

The primary reason our Founding Fathers wrote the Second Amendment was to protect all the other amendments.

Just after the Muslim terrorist attack in San Bernardino the Washington Post found that 53 percent of voters oppose a ban on assault weapons -- a record high.

THE AMERICAN PEOPLE SEEM TO UNDERSTAND WHAT THE PRESIDENT DOES NOT -- GUNS KEEP OUR FAMILIES SAFE.

So instead of declaring war on law-abiding gun owners -- maybe the president ought to declare war on the true threat facing our nation -- radical Islam.

The National Rifle Association accused the president of pulling a “political stunt” and Republican presidential candidates have widely condemned the president’s gun-control plans.

“THE PRESIDENT IS A PETULANT CHILD,” New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie told “Fox News Sunday.” “Whenever he doesn’t get what he wants…this president acts like a king.”

Carly Fiorina told CNN the president HAS “BEEN A LAWLESS PRESIDENT.”

“It is delusional, dangerous, not to mention unconstitutional,” she said. “We have a long list of criminals who own guns, who routinely purchase guns. We know who these people are, and we are not prosecuting any of them.”

Texas Governor Greg Abbott summed up it up best in a tweet:

President Obama returned from his holiday vacation to announce what he called, ‘common sense gun reform’. This includes universal background check registration along with restrictions on seniors. Is this really common sense? Has the president overstepped his executive authority? Is this what the public is calling for?

Joining Jim to look at this issue was Erich Pratt. Erich is the executive director for Gun Owners of America.

Erich believes President OBAMA DOES NOT HAVE CONSTITUTIONAL AUTHORITY TO SET FORTH GUN CONTROL REFORMS VIA EXECUTIVE ORDER. Why? The Second Amendment says that the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. This means that everything the president laid out is an infringement on law abiding gun owners and citizens.

THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED

Erich also referred to the president’s analogy that you can’t yell ‘fire’ in a crowded theater. He noted how THE PRESIDENT SANK HIS OWN ARGUMENT by saying this because obviously movie goers are free to enter a theater and when that freedom is abused, then they’re held liable. What theaters don’t do is put customers through a background check to make sure they don't have a history of yelling ‘fire’ while attending a movie. In the case of gun control, President OBAMA IS PLACING PRIOR RESTRAINT AND RESTRICTIONS ON LAW ABIDING CITIZENS AND THEIR GOD-GIVEN RIGHT TO SELF-DEFENSE. This means the president’s theater analogy is a failure and coming from someone who taught constitutional law, he should know better.

Jim then brought up an interesting question. If the actions of the president are unconstitutional and are an assault on the Second Amendment and the Separation of Powers, why are they advancing and who’s going to stop them?

OVER THE LAST 25 YEARS WE’VE SEEN 150 MILLION NEW GUNS MANUFACTURED AND IMPORTED INTO THE U.S YET DURING THAT TIME OUR MURDER RATE WAS CUT IN HALF. So Erich believes it’s all about the agenda, so Gun Owners of America will be pursuing legal action in this area and also working with congressmen on defunding gun restrictions.

Yes, There Have Been Terrorists Who Call Themselves Christian.
But There Has Never Been A Christian Terrorist.

It's said that not all Muslims are terrorists, but that most terrorists are Muslims.

Bleeding heart, "religion of peace" Jihad-deniers may explain away the global scourge of Islamic terrorism as "workplace violence," the "result of climate change" or a "gun control issue" (California has the strictest gun laws in all 50 states, and Paris, France, has banned guns altogether), but the facts, common sense and our own observations reveal the truth.

It's world-class stupid to insist that, when Muslim terrorists mow down a room full of law-abiding citizens, the “progressive” panacea is to disarm the law-abiding citizens. "Enough is enough," all right. Sit down, liberals. The adults are talking. We don't need more gun control.

Brigitte Gabriel is a world-renown national security expert. Her concentration is on the explosive rise in Islamic terrorism. She notes there are 1.2 billion Muslims in the world. Of them, intelligence agencies estimate that 15-25 percent are orthodox Muslims, meaning they actually follow the teachings of the Quran.

"That leaves 75 percent of [Muslims being] peaceful people," observes Gabriel. "But when you look at 15-25 percent of the world's Muslim population, you're looking at 180 million to 300 million people dedicated to the destruction of Western civilization. That is as big as the United States," she concludes.

Indeed, with these harrowing numbers in mind, it’s no surprise that there have been nearly 27,500 terrorist attacks worldwide committed by faithful Muslims since 9/11.

There have been zero committed by faithful Christians.

Here's why.

Muslims, true Muslims, follow the teachings of their dead "prophet" Muhammad, a warring tyrant who, as even the Islamic Quran concedes, was a murderous misogynist and pedophile. Christians, true Christians, follow the very-much-alive Lord Jesus Christ, the God-man, whose teachings are found in the God-breathed Holy Bible.

Muhammad taught, and the Quran stresses, that a central tenet of Islam is to convert, enslave or kill the infidel. An infidel is anyone who is not Muslim or, depending on who’s doing the killing, belongs to a different sect of Islam.

Qur’an 47: 4

On the other hand, Jesus taught His followers, who are called Christians, to "do to others what you would have them do to you" (see Luke 6:31); that, "You shall not murder" (see Matthew 19:18); and that we are to "love [our] enemies and pray for those who persecute [us]" (see Matthew 5:44). It goes without saying that those who do not follow these teachings are not following Christ.

Indeed, while many may claim to be "Christian," the word only applies to those who are justified in Christ, spiritually reborn and regenerated through the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit. The true Christian walks in Christ's steps through faith and obedience.

Terrorism is in direct disobedience to Christ.

Whereas "Muslim extremists," that is, faithful Muslims, kill people extremely, "Christian extremists," that is, faithful Christians, love people, including their enemies, extremely.

Islam is Christianity's photo-negative. While Christianity brings eternal life to those choosing to surrender to Jesus, who alone is “the Way, the Truth and the Life,” Islam brings eternal death to those who surrender to Allah, who is "the best of deceivers" ("[A]nd Allah was deceptive, for Allah is the best of deceivers." [see Surah 3:54]).

Which brings us to last week's mass shooting near an abortion slaughterhouse in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Even as the secular left was gleefully screaming, “Christian terrorism!” Garrett Swasey, a pro-life, Christian pastor and police officer, was laying down his life for those inside the very Planned Parenthood he abhorred.

It's what Christians do.

Still, again, and so our liberal, anti-Christian friends fully understand, Officer Garrett Swasey was a pro-life Christian. Robert Dear, the evil, reclusive, deranged pothead who killed him, is not. Dear murdered three innocent people. He is, by definition, not "pro-life." Neither is he Christian. He is, much like Planned Parenthood, "pro-death."

To be sure, pro-life Christians like Officer Swasey agree: Murdering babies is wrong. And murdering the murderers who murder babies is also wrong. Shooting innocent people is evil. Just like dismembering babies and selling their body parts is evil.

No, Robert Dear is no "Christian terrorist." He may be a terrorist, but he's not a Christian terrorist. He can't be. He doesn't follow Christ. If anything, Robert Dear's actions are more like those of Planned Parenthood, orthodox Islam and Syed Farook.

Yes, there have been terrorists who call themselves Christian.

But there has never been a Christian terrorist.

BODIES STILL ON THE FLOOR WHEN OBAMA WITH NO FACTS MADE HIS COMMENTS

One week ago, tragedy struck at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon, leaving 9 dead and the shooter himself. Reports have surfaced that the shooter asked about people's religion. If they said they were Christian, they received a bullet through the head. Others were shot in the legs.

Jim encouraged listeners to continue to be in prayer for this community that continues to be in mourning for the families of the victims.

Like so many previous mass shootings, this one also happened in a gun-free zone. In light of this it's been said that President Obama is preparing executive actions on gun control with even some hints of confiscation.

Joining Jim to discuss this issue was Alan Gottlieb. Alan is the Chairman of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms and founder of the Second Amendment Foundation. He has authored some twenty books including, 'Shooting Blanks: Facts Don't Matter to the Gun Ban Crowd' and 'Assault on Weapons: The Campaign to Eliminate Your Guns.' He is also the publisher of TheGunMag.com and The Gottlieb-Tartaro Report.

What bothered Alan was the fact that there were still bodies on the floor and the President had no facts in front of him as he made his comments. He was supposedly pushing for a universal background check law but the shooter went through background checks every time he bought his firearms. The President also talked about banning assault rifles and semi-automatic weapons when the shooter used a handgun. In other words there was a definite disconnect between what the President was pushing for and the reality of what might have helped the situation.

President Obama uses phrases like ‘common sense gun control’ like they’ve passed in the United Kingdom and Australia. They’ve passed gun bans there and Alan doesn't believe the American public looks at that as 'common sense.'

Even the community of Roseburg seems to see the problem. Jim quoted the publisher of the Roseburg Beacon who was on television with Bill O'Reilly and said, ‘Now he wants to come to our community and stand on the corpse of our loved ones and make some kind of political point. It's not going to be well received by our people, not by our families, not by our elected officials.'

So would the establishment of more gun laws prevent more mass shootings? Alan said we already have 22,500 laws on the books in the U.S. that restrict the right to be able to use firearms for self-defense, ownership, use and possession. As Alan put it, 'What makes you think one more law is going to stop a crazed murderer from doing something like this?

Jim wondered what's going on in the President's home town of Chicago on this issue? After all, aren't they pretty strict on gun control? Shouldn't Chicago be a pretty safe city?

Alan responded by noting that the President ignores what happens in Chicago. He doesn’t talk about it. It destroys his narrative because they have strong gun control laws. There isn't even one licensed gun dealer in the city limits that you can buy a gun from.
