CAIR WANTS TRUTH CLEANSED FROM 9/11 MUSEUM

By Ryan Mauro, The Clarion Project — The interfaith allies of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) think the American people can’t handle the truth about the jihadist motivation behind 9/11. They condescendingly infer that Americans are so inclined towards anti-Muslim bigotry that the terms “Islamist” and “jihad” must not be heard at the 9/11 Museum.

The 9/11 Museum, opening May 21, includes a seven-minute video titled The Rise of Al-Qaeda hosted by veteran news anchor Brian Williams. The tape refers to the Al-Qaeda terrorists who carried out the 9/11 attacks as “Islamists” who believed they were pursuing a jihad against the United States. These are two terms that American Islamists have tried to delete from the American lexicon or at least whitewash them to the point they become meaningless.

CAIR, the Muslim Public Affairs Council and five other Arab groups have issued a joint statement demanding the removal of the video. Both have Muslim Brotherhood origins and a history of pro-Islamist activism. They are joined by the Interfaith Center of New York and New York Disaster Interfaith Services who have their own separate joint statement.

Islamists like CAIR draw other Muslims and non-Muslims to their side with the argument that these terms promote “Islamophobia,” as if Americans are so uneducated and prejudiced that they’ll automatically assume that all Muslims are Al-Qaeda sympathizers. Even if that were true, the 9/11 Museum goes to great lengths to debunk anti-Muslim stereotypes.

The museum spokesman said there are two exhibits that clearly show that Al-Qaeda is a “far fringe of Islam.” The New York Times reports that the Museum has photos of Muslims mourning after the attacks, stories about Muslims who died in the attacks and testimony from Rep. Keith Ellison, the first Muslim congressman in U.S. history.

The museum’s executives had Princeton University Professor Bernard Haykel approve the script before making it a part of the site. He stands by the decision to approve the film because there is simply no honest way to explain the motivations of Al-Qaeda without mentioning jihad.

“The critics who are going to say, ‘Let’s not talk about it as an Islamic or Islamist movement,’ could end up not telling the story at all, or diluting it so much that you wonder where Al-Qaeda comes from,” he told the Times.

He’s right. CAIR and its allies are essentially saying that Americans can’t handle the truth, so they shouldn’t know it.

The current leader of Al-Qaeda, Ayman al-Zawahiri, used to lead a terrorist group named Egyptian Islamic Jihad (that splintered from the Muslim Brotherhood) until it was absorbed into Al-Qaeda.

In Osama Bin Laden’s first television interview in 1997, he said, “We declared a jihad—a holy war—on the United States government because it is unjust and tyrannical.”

“The acme of this religion is jihad. The [Muslim] nation has had a strong conviction that there is no way to obtain faithful strength but by returning to jihad,” Bin Laden explained.

About a month after the 9/11 attacks, Bin Laden gave an interview where he said, “This is a duty of all Muslims. The jihad is a duty for everyone, not just for the Afghans.” His overall stated reason is that “America is against the establishment of any Islamic government.”

He continued:

“…[W]e will continue our jihad. We will incite the [Muslim] nation for jihad until we meet God and get his blessing. Any country that supports the Jews can only blame itself…I tell Muslims to believe in the victory of God and in jihad against the infidels of the world. The killing of Jews and Americans is one of the greatest duties.”

One of the chief reasons that CAIR is waging war against words like “jihad” and “Islamist” is because the group doesn’t want its ideology to be discussed and it certainly doesn’t want Americans to know that it and Al-Qaeda share the same overall Islamist ideology. Their disagreements are only about target selection, rhetoric and tactics.

The Justice Department says that CAIR is an “entity” of the Muslim Brotherhood, the most powerful Islamist movement in the world. CAIR was born out of a secret Brotherhood meeting in 1993 in Philadelphia, which was attended by two CAIR founders including its current Executive Director.

The speakers at the meeting discussed forming a new group to influence the media and public opinion about their Islamist cause. One speaker said, “Forming the public opinion or coming up with a policy to influence …the way the Americans deal with the Islamists, for instance. I believe that should be the goals of this stage.”

CAIR co-founder Omar Ahmad agreed, saying the “goal is becoming open to the media in the U.S. and the Western society to ease the intensity of the campaign and to explain the legality of the opposition led by the Islamists.”

And that’s exactly what CAIR is doing. The Interfaith Center of New York’s choice of allies shows it doesn’t understand jihad or the Islamist ideology, making it an attractive messenger for the media-savvy CAIR

The Interfaith Center of New York does not appear to realize who it is working with. On April 20, 2013, the New York chapter of CAIR honored the Interfaith Center of New York with its “Partners in Justice Award.” It was accepted by Reverend Chloe Breyer, who is now a leading critic of the 9/11 Museum.

CAIR-NY’s leadership has a history of extremism including anti-American rhetoric, inflammatory sentiment towards law enforcement, support for Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood and advocating the destruction of Israel. The CAIR-NY official who gave Rev. Breyer the award, Zead Ramadan, would not condemn Hamas in 2011 and has appeared on Iranian state television to make America sound like an oppressor of Muslims.

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf of “Ground Zero Mosque” fame is a Vice Chairman of the Interfaith Center of New York. One of its listed "Friends and Partners" is a group by the name of the Mosque of the Islamic Brotherhood. The group denies having any affiliation with the Muslim Brotherhood overseas or domestic Muslim Brotherhood-linked groups, but admits that its official motto is the exact same one as the Muslim Brotherhood:

“Allah is our goal/The Prophet Muhammad ibn ‘Abdullah is our leader/The Qu’ran is our Constitution/Jihad is our way/And death in the way of Allah is our promised end.”

Another article on the Mosque of the Islamic Brotherhood’s website discusses jihad—a term apparently they are allowed to say but the 9/11 Museum isn’t. It states that one of the forms of jihad is “physical jihad” that is “combat waged in defense of Muslims against oppression and transgression by the enemies of Allah…”

Another article says the War on Terror is part of a covert conspiracy led by “closet white supremacist, zenophobic, Satanically-inspired individuals [who] advocate a proper, state-sponsored terrorism, in defense of the ‘American Dream,’ while other people are living the ‘American nightmare.’”

The leading voices against the 9/11 Museum’s use of the words “Islamist” and “jihad” are Islamists themselves or their allies. CAIR Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper says that “generations of visitors” will be taught by the 9/11 Museum. He’s right, and that’s why the 9/11 Museum cannot sacrifice truth for pro-Islamist political correctness. » Full Article

CAIR Targeting Townspeople For Opposing
Major Islamic Construction Project

WND EXCLUSIVE — A Muslim organization is targeting seven Michigan residents who opposed plans for a major Islamic construction project in their neighborhood, and a legal team defending them alleges that the goal is to intimidate the project opponents and send a message to others.

The American Freedom Law Center is representing the opponents, whose names were withheld to protect their privacy.

A variety of subpoenas for information, including private emails and other documents, had been delivered by the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

Robert Muise, AFLC senior counsel, said, “There is no doubt that CAIR – a Shariah-adherent Islamist group that notoriously uses the legal system to silence any opposition to its nefarious agenda – is abusing the discovery process to retaliate against and intimidate private citizens who dared to publicly express their opposition to the Islamic center.”

Muise said AFLC “is quite familiar with CAIR’s bullying tactics, which is why it is important that we defend these private citizens’ constitutional rights.”

CAIR touts itself as a Muslim civil rights group, but federal prosecutors in 2007 named the Washington, D.C.-based group an unindicted co-conspirator in a plot to fund the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas, and more than a dozen CAIR leaders have been charged or convicted of terrorism-related crimes.

The case was prompted by a plan by the Muslim Community Association of Ann Arbor in 2012 to build an Islamic school and community center.

It needed the town to rezone the property. But the request was denied because of infrastructure and traffic concerns.

CAIR filed a federal civil rights action against the township on behalf of MCA, claiming the denial of the rezoning application violated the Muslims’ rights.

AFLC explained that the township residents were concerned about the traffic congestion that would be caused by the construction of a school and community center in their neighborhood. They circulated and submitted to township officials a petition expressing their opposition to the rezoning, and several of them spoke out at public hearings.

“As a result, CAIR served harassing subpoenas on a number of these citizens, demanding that they produce private emails and other documents, and in some cases, appear for a deposition,” AFLC said.

David Yerushalmi, AFLC co-founder, said CAIR’s discovery demands “plainly infringe upon precious First Amendment liberties and the paramount right of a private citizen to publicly express her opinions to elected representatives on matters that affect her and her community.”

“On a broader level, CAIR’s decision to browbeat these ordinary Americans clearly shows the pervasiveness of Shariah-adherent Islam and its ‘civilizational jihad’ within our borders,” he said.

“Needless to say, if CAIR wishes to persecute Americans through the legal system, they’ll have to contend with us.”

FBI wiretap evidence from the Hamas-funding case showed CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad was at an October 1993 meeting of Hamas leaders and activists in Philadelphia. CAIR, according to the evidence, was born out of a need to give a “media twinkle” to the Muslim leaders’ agenda of supporting violent jihad abroad while slowly institutionalizing Islamic law in the U.S.

As WND reported in 2010, a federal judge later determined that the Justice Department provided “ample evidence” to designate CAIR as an unindicted terrorist co-conspirator, affirming the Muslim group has been involved in “a conspiracy to support Hamas.”

Prepping Youth To ‘Islamize U.S.’

Art Moore, WND — A front for the movement that aims to turn the U.S. into an Islamic state is touting its role in the groundbreaking appointment of an “observant Muslim” to the University of California system’s board of regents.

As student regent, Sadia Saifuddin will represent more than 234,000 students across the state’s system.

The California chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations noted Saifuddin, a senior majoring in social welfare at Cal Berkeley, participated in CAIR’s Muslim Youth Leadership Program in 2008. She also served as an adviser for this year’s participants.

CAIR, according to FBI wiretap evidence from a 1993 meeting of Muslim Brotherhood leaders and activists in Philadelphia, was formed to burnish the image of Muslims in the U.S. in support of the Brotherhood’s stated aim of “destroying Western civilization from within” and replacing it with Islamic rule.

As a student senator, Saifuddin co-sponsored a non-binding resolution that called on the University of California system to divest $14 million from companies that do business in Israel, reported the independent local news site Berkeleyside.

Saifuddin explained she did not want “one cent of my money to go toward fueling the occupation of my brothers and sisters.” The resolution passed by an 11-9 vote.

Critics have called the resolution shortsighted and anti-Semitic and have called into question her ability to represent all students, Berkeleyside reported.

Saifuddin will be an observer on the board during the upcoming school year before becoming a voting member the following year.

In an interview with Berkeleyside, she insisted she is not anti-Semitic.

“I did my job in representing my community in that situation,” she said. “Divestment is not something I will be pursuing as student regent. My politics on that particular matter don’t inform my new position. There are more pressing issues, like financial aid reform and campus climate.”

In the interview, she was asked a pointed question about whether her faith is compatible with the regent position.

Berkeleyside: Qur’an 5:51 orders Muslims to “not befriend the Christians and the Jews.” How do you balance the demands of your religion with the demands of your position to represent students of all backgrounds?

Saifuddin: My best friend is Catholic; I visit her church and she comes to my mosque. Religion is not a contender in our relationship. I think people cherry-pick a lot of things in the Muslim faith, and this emphasizes Islamophobia. If I looked in the Bible or Torah, I could find quotes that say the same thing. We need to look hard at people who are saying Muslims are intolerant, because it’s the people who are saying these things who are intolerant. My faith is one that preaches love and peace, forgiveness and mercy – these are the ideals that I’ve chosen to embody.

While CAIR touts itself as a Muslim civil rights group, federal prosecutors in 2007 named CAIR an unindicted co-conspirator in a plot to fund Hamas, and more than a dozen CAIR leaders have been charged or convicted of terrorism-related crimes.

CAIR’s California branch said its annual Muslim Youth Leadership Program is held in Sacramento to equip high school students with an understanding of the legislative process and train them in civic engagement and media advocacy.

Since 2004, MYLP has trained more than 350 young American Muslims.

In this year’s program, the executive director of CAIR’s Minnesota chapter, Lori Soraya, of CAIR-Minnesota, talked about how to be an effective organizer to impact the American Muslim community and the broader society.

It just can’t happen. Religion is at our very core; and if we will not honor the true and living God as God, then we will fill that vacuum with a false god. Exhibit A: Rocky Mountain High School in Colorado. Outrage is building over the fact that students were encouraged to recite the Pledge of Allegiance over the loudspeaker in Arabic, replacing “one nation under God” with “one nation under Allah.”

The school’s principal, Tom Lopez, is standing by his decision to allow the pledge after receiving a flood of complaints from parents outraged over the incident. He claims to not be pushing an Islamic agenda. Lopez told Fox News “These students love this country. They were not being un-American in trying to do this. They believed they were accentuating the meaning of the words as spoken regularly in English.”

Danielle Clark, communications director of the Poudre Schoool District, said “We understand not everybody would agree with the students’ choice. We’ve heard there are some who are upset.” On the other hand, she said she received one email from a person who “thought it was a great thing.”

So now, one speaks for the many. This is going on in every public school system across the country. School administrators are experimenting with our rights and suggesting that students do the same. Parents in Colorado and elsewhere: I’m warning you to get your children out of the public school system. This will happen more and more. Already, the government is imposing its will in our public schools. Now they want to start indoctrinating them in kindergarten. This is only one in a series of incidents that challenge our belief in the freedoms outlined in the Constitution. Freedom of Religion is a prime one and one that the country was founded upon. The Church of England wanted the Colonists to worship according to its directives. The Colonists refused and were taxed as a punishment. The rest is history.

One of the local papers, The Coloradoan, reported that members of a group called the Cultural Arms Club wanted to break down barriers to embracing other cultures; how altruistic is that? High School students can strive to do that. So despite protests from the rest of the school, the group recited the pledge in Arabic. When they got to the last sentence, they used “Allah” instead of “God.”

If you take our Pledge of Allegiance and put it in another language, it could be used in a different country for different reasons. We don’t repeat the French National Anthem in English in our schools, do we?! Substituting the word “Allah” for God is a misnomer. Allah is not God and will never be God. The Muslim religion does not recognize God as the creator of all things or that Jesus is his son. They don’t belong together, and they should not be linked together. These students are misguided at best.

Where are the teachers? Why doesn’t someone explain that the Pledge of Allegiance is an original American product and is meant to be said in English. Immigrants who come to this country legally learn English almost as soon as they get here. To become a citizen, you should have to know how to speak English. To drive on our roads and shop in our stores, you have to be able to read English. English is the language spoken by most countries around the world. There is a reason for that.

Time and again, people have suggested saying the “Pledge of Allegiance” in a language other than English. It is not meant to be said in any other language; and for many, the meaning gets lost in the translation. Stop trying to turn America into some other country. If you come to this country, speak our language and abide by our laws. Don’t turn America back into the hell hole you just left.

The Principal of Rocky Mountain High School is an example of what is wrong with our educational system. He does not see the danger in letting our “Pledge of Allegiance” be changed to meet the needs of others. If others want to come here, let them come here legally and recite our “Pledge of Allegiance” in English as it was meant to be.

“I’ve been shocked with prejudicial statements that have been made,” said Principal Lopez. “When they pledge allegiance to United States, that’s exactly what they’re saying,” Lopez said. “They’re just using another language as their vehicle.” He claims that when one cites the pledge in Arabic that Allah is the word used for God, but that is not true. It is a proper name for their false deity, much like the God of the Bible’s is Yahweh. In other words, this is not a generic rendering of the word “God.” It is specific. Principal Lopez and others like him are a danger to the freedoms of our children. He should be re-educated on why our country is here and how it became free.

It has been documented that the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is demanding that Muslims get special treatment in public schools. They have also passed out literature to teachers on the Islamic ideology and bashed schools for promoting off-campus Bible studies. Where do these people get the temerity to challenge our system and intimidate the educators in our schools and universities? Something is very wrong in a society where the president praises a socio-economic religion and condemns the belief in a one true loving God. Muslims make up a very small percentage of the American populace, but their influence on this White House is enormous. The parents were right to be outraged; and if they truly love their children, they should do everything they can to get them out of the indoctrination centers of public “education.” » Full Article

“A Terrorist Front Group in the White House? Unbelievably, Yes!”

AUTHOR, The Western Center For Journalism — Americans were livid when they found out the IRS was targeting conservative groups—using endless questionnaires to demand donor lists, political and family connections, Facebook posts, event records, transcripts of speeches, and even the content of their prayers! The IRS then put these endless questionnaires in the circular file for up to three years, and some conservative groups—specifically Tea Party groups—are still waiting for a resolution to their applications. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that the targeting of conservative groups had a two-fold purpose that had nothing to do with determining conservative groups’ tax status: 1. To keep Tea Party groups busy filling out paperwork instead of organizing in order to neutralize them until after the 2012 election. 2. To collect opposition research on Obama’s political enemies.

At the same time, not one single progressive group was targeted by the IRS. Not one single progressive group received endless questionnaires. Not one single progressive group had to wait years for a determination of their tax-exempt status, but were fast-tracked in a period of months. This included the Kenya-based Barack H. Obama Foundation headed by Obama’s half brother, Malik Obama. The Barack H. Obama Foundation was approved by none other than IRS poster girl Lois Lerner, personally approving it in a speedy thirty days! Lerner even went further, illegally backdating the application to 2008—a full three years—allowing them to keep the thousands of dollars they had illegally collected.

But this is mild compared to what the IRS has been engaged in. According to a report by WND.com, an even more egregious act by the IRS regards CAIR —the Council on American Islamic Relations—whose tax-exempt status was revoked in June of 2011. Despite having failed to file annual tax filings for multiple years, in June of 2012, during the height of the Obama administration’s IRS attack on conservatives, the IRS secretly reinstated CAIR’s tax-exempt status despite Congressional investigations of the shady so-called Muslim “outreach” group.

This is the same CAIR that has deep ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.

This is the same CAIR that was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the 2008/2009 Holy Land Foundation terrorist-funding trial. The Holy Land Foundation, posing as a Palestinian charity, was a conduit for funneling millions of dollars to the terrorist group HAMAS, the sister organization of Muslim Brotherhood.

This is the same CAIR that the Obama administration allowed to literally purge hundreds of pages of classified FBI training materials of terms like “jihad” and “Islamist,” in order to remove any words that Obama felt included so-called “Islamaphobic” terms.

Why was a terrorist front group’s tax exempt status reinstated? Perhaps we should ask the Obama administration: CAIR has had literally hundreds of meetings with the State Department, the FBI, and yes, even the White House! A terrorist front group in the White House? Unbelievably, yes!

What does this tell us about an administration that targets conservative Americans who stand up for the Constitution, that love their country, and embraces an organization tied to terrorists, tied to the Muslim Brotherhood, an organization that has openly vowed to destroy the United States?

That Barack Hussein Obama is a traitor, that he has committed high crimes and misdemeanors, and thus there is only one solution: Impeach him now—today. » Full Article

Chad Groening, (OneNewsNow.com) — According to an online editorial in Investor's Business Daily, mosques have been off-limits to the FBI for almost two years. Since October 2011, says that report, surveillance or undercover sting operations in mosques have been prohibited without high-level approval from a special oversight body at the Justice Department dubbed the "Sensitive Operations Review Committee."

The panel was reportedly set up because of complaints from Muslim groups about sting operations conducted by the FBI, which were very effective in disrupting dozens of Islamic terror plots against the homeland—and just months after the ACLU and the Council on American-Islamic Relations sued the FBI, asserting that infiltration and monitoring of Los Angeles mosques violated the civil rights of Muslims in that area.

The op-ed says no one knows the makeup of the Sensitive Operations Review Committee because the names of its members and staff are kept secret.

Obama Stands with Muslims

OneNewsNow contacted Laurie Cardoza-Moore, president of Proclaiming Justice to the Nations, about the IBD editorial. She says the Obama administration is always standing with Muslims. "Remember, [President] Obama said that when the winds change and the world turns against Islam, he is going to stand with the Muslims. He's been very clear [about that]," she comments. "And the Muslims aren't his political enemies—it's Christians, it's 'Zionists,' it's tea party activists. Because we know the truth."

Cardoza-Moore says one only has to look at where Obama is investing American tax dollars. "He's not investing them in building democracies around the world. He's investing our tax dollars in building Muslim Brotherhood Islamic governments," she notes.

A recent report also revealed the Obama administration may send weapons to the rebels in Syria, many of whom are tied to al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood. » Full Article
