END OF THE SHMITA: ALIENS, BLOOD MOONS AND ECONOMIC COLLAPSE

PREDICTIONS THAT DAZZLE THE MIND HAVE CAUSED SOBER PEOPLE SERIOUS PROBLEMS IN THE PAST

Israel Today Staff — Millions of both Jews and Gentiles are excitedly predicting an ominous period ahead for Israel as the current Sabbatical year (shmita) comes to an end on September 14, 2015.

The Sabbatical Year, or Year of Release, is a biblical command outlined in Deuteronomy 15 where it is written: "At the end of every seven years you shall grant a release … every creditor shall release what he has lent to his neighbor [and by observing it] the Lord will bless you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you for an inheritance to possess."

Failure to uphold this command, according to the Book of Chronicles, is what caused the first 70-year exile: "And those who escaped from the sword he carried away to Babylon … to fulfill the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed its Sabbaths [Sabbatical years]" (2 Ch. 36:20-21).

The number of years in exile corresponds to the number of Sabbatical and Jubilee years that Israel had failed to observe since entering the Promised Land. In other words, that exile was punishment for social and environmental injustices Israel had inflicted upon the Land and the people dwelling in it.

To evaluate the different warnings concerning this September, it must be remembered that the command is only concerned with how the people of Israel treat the Land and its inhabitants. This is why it was Israel that suffered the first exile and no one else.

With this in mind, following are three warnings from three completely different groups of people predicting awful things in store for the coming weeks and months.

ALIEN INTERVENTION

The first is the Israeli chapter of New Age Raelian Movement. The movement's prophet, who took the name Maitreya Rael, has instructed his Israeli followers to publish an urgent "oracle" in a highly unusual public campaign. In his message, Rael conveys a warning from an extraterrestrial being, "The Elohim," who blames Israel with "stealing the land and houses" of the Palestinians and for creating "concentration camps for the Palestinians whose homes and Lands they stole … and are even projecting a final solution with the goal of Palestinian genocide."

As result, warns Rael, "the protection that had been granted to Israel is from today (August 6th 2015) totally withdrawn and I ask all the real Jews to leave the Land of Palestine as quickly as possible."

This messenger of doom - who sounds like a Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) loudmouth - is a grotesque messiah bringing false charges against Israel with no consideration for the Old and New Testaments, which state, "do not think that I will accuse you [Israel] to the Father" (John 5).

ECONOMIC COLLAPSE

A more specific Sabbatical year warning comes from a YouTube video gone viral, in which financial whiz Jeff Berwick prophesies doom and gloom upon the United Stated of America.

Berwick's prediction is based on a study he had done on events occurring at the end of previous Sabbatical years. His conclusion is that September 15th will change the course of history, and wise Americans should stock up on gold and flee.

The silver lining in his forecast is that the wise will eventually profit when the global markets recover from the financial collapse of America.

Berwick's message does not involve faith, nor does it care about morality. His gospel is that of personal safety and financial gain.

BLOOD MOONS

Lastly, there is the "four blood moons" theory exciting End Times enthusiasts amongst both Christians and Jews.

This scenario is based on a prophecy in the Book of Joel: "...and I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth ... the sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood" (Joel 2:30-31).

In his latest book Four Blood Moons: Something is About to Change, John Hagee has popularized the idea of blood moons occurring on four consecutive biblical feasts and coinciding with the end of a Sabbatical year. The last of these four moons is scheduled to appear on the upcoming Feast of Tabernacles (September 28 or thereabout).

This event, believes Hagee, will usher in a period of two years during which "something dramatic will happen in the Middle East involving Israel that will change the course of history and impact the whole world." The trigger, according to Hagee, is the Iran nuclear deal.

The Israeli Jewish version of this theory sees the pending cosmic phenomenon as a sign of the imminent collapse of the Muslim empire and all its supporters.

In all of this, the various versions of the "four blood moon" theory overlook the darkening of the sun spoken of by Joel, and likewise fail to account for Israel's neglect of the Mosaic covenant.

SOBER CONCLUSION

Predictions that dazzle the mind have caused sober people serious problems in the past, especially when they have acted upon them and set off on perilous journeys (such was the case of the First Crusade in 1096, to give but one example).

It seems that such a time as this bears repeating the warning: "If they say to you, 'Look, he is in the wilderness,' do not go out. If they say, 'Look, he is in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be" (Matt. 24).

THE EUROZONE MINISTERS HAVE AGREED TO GIVE GREECE A BRIDGING LOAN IN LIGHT OF THEIR ECONOMIC CRISIS

Eurozone Ministers have agreed to give Greece a bridging loan from an European Union fund to keep it's finances afloat until a bailout is approved. The European Central Bank has agreed to increase emergency funding to Greece for the first time since it was frozen in June. These decisions were made after Greek members of the Parliament passed tough reforms as part of a Eurozone bailout.

Dr Rob Congdon explains why a Greek bailout could be a global problem.

ROB CONGDON: "I think that's the key, the Greek debt is heavy, they need a lot of money. But when we start comparing with the rest of the world we start seeing that Greece is almost like a preview of what we could be seeing.

Greece owes 3 1/2 times the amount of money they can produce in a year. The United States owes 3.7 times what it can produce in a year; therefore we are in deeper debt, if you will, then Greece is. Britain 5 1/2 times their annual production is what it would take to pay their current debt for a year, so it's in bad shape. Ireland is an EU country which will be standing in the wings shortly saying we need money. They are in debt 10 times what they can produce in a year.

So what we have is a whole series of nations that have overextended themselves and are deep in debt. In Europe it isn't the same as in the US because Europe up until now has not been able to print more bills, cash, to pay the debts or to give people more money, so what you have is a spiral that is moving and actions are going to have to be taken very soon to start correcting this trend that is really a global trend."

JIMMY’S PROPHETIC PROSPECTIVE ON THE NEWS

The Greek economic crisis will have an impact on Europe and the entire world prophetically.

Greece is part of the Eurozone. Members of the European Union who have joined together with a common currency called the Euro. A fall of the Eurozone could destroy the European Union which is the infrastructure for the Revived Roman Empire that is called for in Daniel 7:7-24.

In addition to that, global economics has a major role in the future. Revelation 18 calls for an economic, political, governmental system that will rule the world from the city of Babylon in the coming Tribulation period. The domino effect because of the Greek economic crisis could be setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

‘Harbinger’ Author Stuns With New Discoveries
About 7-Year Cycles

WND EXCLUSIVE — WASHINGTON – Wall Street analysts have pondered the mystery of what appears to be seven-year economic cycles.

They’ve also wondered why crashes seem to come in September.

Jonathan Cahn, author of the mega-bestselling book “The Harbinger,” thinks he has figured it out.

In his sequel, called of “The Mystery of the Shemitah,” the messianic rabbi reveals the shocking discovery that the five great economic crashes of the last 40 years – 1973, 1980, 1987, 2001 and 2008 – have all occurred in Shemitah years – those God set apart as sabbath years.

The new book has rocketed to become an instant bestseller, listed at No. 10 on Amazon.com, and No. 1 in Amazon’s Christian prophecies section.

As he pointed out in his earlier book, in 2001 and 2008 they coincided precisely with the exact end of the Shemitah year on the Hebrew calendar day of Elul 29.

As he did with his previous book, Cahn announced his findings on Sid Roth’s “It’s Supernatural” TV program – even before the book was officially released for sale by bookstores nationwide today.

What does it all mean?

Cahn summed up his message by saying, “America is progressing toward God’s judgment.”

According to the Bible, the Shemitah year was set aside as a blessing for the nation of Israel.

Like the weekly Sabbath, the Shemitah year would be a time of rest for the land and for the agricultural society. There would be no sowing and reaping. Instead, God would provide food miraculously for the people, as He did during the Exodus from Egypt.

Leviticus 25:4 says: “But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the Lord: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.”

However, Cahn points out, if the Shemitah was not observed by the people, it would become a curse, as described later in Leviticus chapter 25. That’s exactly what happened, Cahn says in 586 B.C., a Shemitah year, when the Temple fell and Judah went into captivity in Babylon for 70 years.

It’s no mystery that of “The Mystery of the Shemitah” comes out just before the next Shemitah cycle begins Sept. 25, 2014 – ending Sept. 13, 2015.

Cahn explains the Shemitah can has several meanings. It can mean a “release” – and in ancient Israel debts were canceled and land returned to its original owners. But it can also mean “to fall, to collapse, to shake,” he says.

But the Shemitah seems to be affecting the U.S. economy throughout much of the nation’s history.

The eight greatest postwar economic crashes are all mysteriously connected to a biblical Sabbath year pattern known in Hebrew as “the Shemitah,” reveals the book – evidence certain to rock the world of financial speculators, stock market traders and economists.

Among the stunning findings of the author who found jaw-dropping links between the 9/11 terrorist attack and an otherwise obscure biblical passage, Isaiah 9:10, is that 100 percent of the worst U.S. economic calamities since World War II are all lined to the “Shemitah,” the biblical Sabbath year, its wake or the biblical month of Tishri in which the “Shemitah” falls.

But more than that – all of the great economic crashes in U.S. history, including the Great Depression, line up with Shemitah years.

“It has been affecting everything in our lives,” says Cahn. “There’s no end to it. It’s amazing. It’s precise. It’s down to the days, the hours, the minutes, even the seconds.”

“I have to tell you, economically speaking, this new book by Jonathan Cahn is one of the scariest things I have ever read,” said Joseph Farah, producer of “The Isaiah 9:10 Judgment,” the bestselling documentary film made with the author about the subject matter of “The Harbinger.” “If ‘The Harbinger’ got your attention, ‘The Mystery of the Shemitah’ will have you on your face praying.”

In 1931, a solar eclipse took place on Sept. 12 – the end of a “Shemitah” year. Eight days later, England abandoned the gold standard, setting off market crashes and bank failures around the world. It also ushered in the greatest monthlong stock market percentage crash in Wall Street history.

In 1987, a solar eclipse took place Sept. 23 – again the end of a “Shemitah” year. Less than 30 days later came “Black Monday” the greatest percentage crash in Wall Street history.

Is Cahn predicting doom and gloom on Sept. 13, 2015? He’s careful to avoid a prediction, saying, “In the past, this ushered in the worst collapses in Wall Street history. What will it bring this time? Again, as before, the phenomenon does not have to manifest at the next convergence. But, at the same time, and again, it is wise to take note.”

To top it off, “Shemitah” years are also grouped in sevens – with the 50th year being a year of jubilee – or trumpet blast.

“The jubilee was something of a super Shemitah,” writes Cahn. “It was the Shemitah taken to a new level. In the year of the Shemitah the land rested – so too in the Year of Jubilee. In the year of the Shemitah came release. But in the Year of Jubilee the release took on new meaning. It was not simply the letting go of land or debt. In the jubilee, slaves and prisoners were set free. It was thus the year of liberty.”

While no one is certain when the year of jubilee is, Cahn presents evidence that the next one may coincide with the end of the next Shemitah year – again Sept. 13 on the Gregorian calendar.

Cahn also looks at the five greatest financial turning points of the past 40 years and finds they are connected to the Shemitah cycle.

As he puts it, “From the 40-year period beginning in 1973, every single one of the five greatest financial and economic peaks and collapses have converged, clustered and taken place according to the set time of the Shemitah.”

“Something very much more than natural is indeed going on,” concludes the understated Cahn. “And the signs of the phenomenon all point to the same ancient biblical mystery. If the collapse of the world’s stock markets were an act of crime, the Shemitah would have long ago been indicted for the evidence left at the crime scene. In its numbers, its connections, its convergences, its percentages, its magnitude and its consistency, the amount of fingerprints covering the financial cataclysms of modern times is overwhelming.”

Likewise, “The Mystery of the Shemitah” is somewhat overwhelming too. The economic coincidences are only part of the story. The book also explores the rise and fall of kingdoms and their connections with the Shemitah cycles – its connections with World War I, World War II and the Cold War.

But Cahn is careful not to predict what will happen in the coming Shemitah year.

“The phenomenon may manifest in one cycle and not in another and then again in the next,” he writes. “And the focus of the message is not date-setting but the call of God to repentance and return. At the same time, something of significance could take place, and it is wise to note the times.”

Cahn also notes the fact that 2014 and 2015 are marked by a series of blood moons – a pattern that began on Passover 2014 and will conclude on the Feast of Tabernacles in 2015, as discovered by Pastor Mark Biltz, author of “Blood Moons” and the inspiration for a documentary of the same name.

HHS REPORT: 1.3 MILLION OBAMACARE ENROLLEES MAY OR MAY NOT BE LEGAL CITIZENS

A devastating new Health and Human Services (HHS) Inspector General report released on Tuesday reveals that the Obama administration has yet to determine whether 1,295,571 of the over 8 million Obamacare enrollees are U.S. citizens lawfully in the country.

Wynton Hall, Breitbart — The finding, located on page 11 of the report, states that 44% of the remaining 2,611,780 application "inconsistencies" are related to verifying "Citizenship/national status/lawful presence." Another 960,492 application inconsistencies were related to verifying whether subsidy applicants provided accurate income information.

Moreover, the Inspector General report only covered the federal Obamacare exchanges to determine how the Obama administration resolved verification problems through December 2013. As for the 15 state-run Obamacare exchanges, the report says four--Oregon, Nevada, Vermont, and Massachusetts--are simply "unable to resolve inconsistencies."

As the Washington Post reported in May, as many as one million Obamacare enrollees may be receiving incorrect taxpayer-funded subsidies due to Obamacare's continued technical failures and inability to properly verify income and citizenship eligibility.

One year ago, conservatives warned that the Obama administration's decision to use the so-called "honor system" for income eligibility was merely a backdoor way to get as many individuals on the public dole as possible.

The Office of Inspector General determined that "the federal marketplace was generally incapable of resolving most inconsistencies."

Obamacare will cost U.S. taxpayers $2.6 trillion over the next ten years.
