“At Least 40 Veterans Died
While Waiting For Treatment”

On Wednesday, CNN released a shocking report that at least 40 veterans died while waiting for treatment from the Phoenix Veterans Affairs Health Care system. The CNN report suggests the Phoenix VA used a “secret list” to stage a cover-up of the long wait times that ultimately led to a loss of life. Congress has now called for an investigation into the “extremely disturbing allegations.” On radio this morning, Glenn discussed the latest example of how we have failed to provide the necessary care and support for our veterans.

“If you remember right, when we first went national [on radio], it was on the buildup to the Iraq War. And I did something called a ‘Rally for America,’” Glenn said. “It was, ‘Listen: If we’re going to do this, we have to promise each other right now we’re going to fight it with everything we have. And then when we come home we’re not going to spit on them. We’re going to take care of them. I refuse to be the 1960s generation.’ Well, guys, we are becoming the 60s generation.”

According to the CNN report, the ‘secret list’ is an “elaborate scheme” to hide from the federal government the fact that nearly 1,600 ailing veterans have been forced to wait for months on end for medical attention.

“The scheme was deliberately put in place to avoid the VA’s own internal rules,” Sam Foote, a retired doctor who spent 24 years working for the Phoenix VA hospital, told CNN, adding that the list is the invention of hospital management. “They developed the secret waiting list.”

There are two lists that the Phoenix VA uses for patient appointments, the retired doctor said. There’s an “official list,” which shows that veterans are being provided timely and effective medical care. And there’s the “secret” list, which accurately reflects the fact that veterans are being forced to wait months for care.

Glenn and Pat agreed this is America’s first look at the death panel system that many warned of before the passage of Obamacare in 2010.

“This is government-run health care,” Pat said of the VA. “So this is the way your death panel works. ‘This is going to hurt our stats as a hospital. So let’s put these guys on a separate list so it doesn’t hurt our staff.’ And that’s what they’re alleging is that there’s some kind of secret list.”

Glenn explained that now more than ever it is essential we find ways to provide care and support for our veterans. Glenn has spoken openly about the treatment his is receiving at the Carrick Brain Center in Dallas, and the work that private organization is doing to help as many people as possible.

“We have to dedicate ourselves to help these guys because nobody else is doing it… Read the story on TheBlaze about the veteran that just can’t get an appointment… It’s the Canadian healthcare system, except this one is intentional,” Glenn concluded. “How much money are we giving away to the rest of the world? ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier?’

“I loved it,” Glenn said. “This should teach Hollywood… Here’s a movie that not only is good but tells a pro-American story. This one even has a political point to it. Even the director is coming out and saying, ‘Yeah, I’m trying to make a point here that killing people with drones, with some committee or the president saying yeah, we can just kill those people because they’re a problem, spying on them, collecting their data is wrong.’ That’s what Captain America is about.”

In an interview with Mother Jones, Captain America’s directors, John and Anthony Russo explain the political nature of the film:

“[Marvel] said they wanted to make a political thriller,” Joe Russo, who directed the film with his brother Anthony, tells Mother Jones. “So we said if you want to make a political thriller, all the great political thrillers have very current issues in them that reflect the anxiety of the audience…That gives it an immediacy, it makes it relevant. So [Anthony] and I just looked at the issues that were causing anxiety for us, because we read a lot and are politically inclined. And a lot of that stuff had to do with civil liberties issues, drone strikes, the president’s kill list, preemptive technology”—all themes they worked into the film, working closely with screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

In The Winter Soldier, Captain America and the rest of the heroes… confront the government program Project Insight, which involves three Helicarriers (gigantic autonomous killer drones, basically) that are fed large amounts of data and intel. The Helicarriers process the data to identify and preemptively eliminate potential threats to national and global security. And though the film’s topical parts were all crafted prior to the NSA revelations, the directors say it’s no accident that data mining is a key element of the plot: “It was all leading up to Snowden,” Joe says. “It was all in the ether [already], it was all part of the zeitgeist. The Snowden stuff actually happened while we were shooting.”

The film enjoyed monstrous box office success in its opening weekend, setting an April record with $96.2 million domestically. That raises the film’s worldwide total to over $300 million.

“It’s really good. I’m telling you, there’s something happening. And it is strange bedfellows. It is coming together with people you think you disagree with, but you really don’t,” Glenn concluded. “Thanks, Hollywood. You have made up for Noah.”

Harry Reid Says He Never
Called ObamaCare Stories Lies

Pat has already made a compelling argument for why Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) is, in fact, “the worst living human being on the planet.” And he added further fuel to that fire this week when he blatantly lied on the Senate floor. At this point, one can’t help but wonder: Is Sen. Reid evil, senile, or both?

The America Rising PAC put together a telling video that compares comments Sen. Reid made on February 26, 2014 to remarks he made on March 26, 2014. In the timespan of exactly one month, Sen. Reid went from blaming all negative Obamacare testimonies on the evil Koch brothers to denying he ever said such a thing. The reversal is actually pretty spooky:

“Something is either wrong with him or, as I’ve maintained, he’s the worst living human being on the planet,” Pat said exasperatedly. “Something is radically wrong with him. If that’s the case, get him out of office. Seriously. Get him out of office. Something is wrong with him.”

Pat and Stu likened Sen. Reid’s penchant for telling boldfaced lies to that of his former Democratic colleague, President Bill Clinton. President Clinton sat in front of a camera and emphatically denied having any “sexual relations with that woman,” and yet we quickly learned that was 100% false.

CLINTON: I want to you listen to me. I’m gonna say this again. I did not have sexual relations with that woman. Ms. Lewinsky. I never told anybody to lie, not a single time. Never. These allegations are false. And I need to go back to work for the American people.

“He’s so good,” Stu said of Clinton. “I listen to that now and believe him.”

“The way he puts it at the beginning, it’s so emphatic,” Pat added. “I mean how definitive a statement and how emphatically he says it are just unbelievable when you know now, in retrospect, it was an absolute flat-out lie.”

When you consider the frequency with which politician spew outright lies, it’s any wonder how they maintain an ounce of credibility.

“And this is what they do over and over and over and over,” Pat concluded. “And people seem to buy it every day – every single day. I don’t know how it happens. How do you have one ounce of credibility with anyone?”

You can actually hear Chuck Schumer say to him like you would to a child, "N-n-n-no, Harry? Harry? Harry?"

Overhearing, Obama says to him “Harry, are you stealing the pens?” Reid, embarrassed, fiddled with the pen for a few seconds while Obama came up with “I can get you one, man,” as he pulls one from his jacket pocket. He handled Reid like you would see someone handle a senile elder - humoring him.

This guy does not belong in the position of Senate Majority Leader.

“The NWO Will Be China, Russia, Socialist Outliers, And Poverty Zones”

In the wake of Russia’s annexation of Ukraine and the BBC report confirmed Russia and China played a role in the 2008 financial crisis, Glenn believes a new world order is beginning to emerge. That order, according to Glenn, will be comprised of China, Russia, socialist outliers, and poverty zones.

Before diving into the crux of the new prediction, Glenn offered a bit of context:

I have to give it a little context. Remember that China verified to Secretary Paulson that Russia said they were trying to collapse our economy… So we know that that happened according to Secretary Paulson. We know that China, at the time, was against that move because they needed us. What they had to do was divest themselves of us pretty much. Stop buying all of our treasuries and slowly get off of the United States and they have. They have not divested, but they have stopped buying a lot of stuff. And they have also started to become a little hostile towards the United States and what we have done to their money…

So now, China and Russia are beginning to work together. And both China and Russia are going to trade outside of the U.S. dollar, which is something entirely new and very, very dangerous because once they get off the dollar, then the rest of the world will get off of the dollar because China and Russia have formed some sort of a pact.

The other news I think is important to report today and you won’t hear this everywhere: The Polish reserves have been called into play… The Polish politicians are telling the world press that this is just a drill… No it’s not. It’s never happened before where men who are of serving age have been called up into the reserves and are starting to train.

The reason why that is happening is because of what happened in Crimea. And the belief and anybody who is in a former Soviet state sees the writing on the wall. Putin can go in and do whatever it is he wants and nobody is going to stop him…

I want you to remember that what happened… Putin, on Monday, said, ‘I’m not going to annex Crimea. That’s ridiculous. I’m not going to do that. We’re just going in to help them keep the peace.’ By Friday he signed the annexation. He could tell that the world didn’t care much so he just signed it.

With this background in mind, Glenn believes World War III could be on the horizon, and it would be the war that puts the former Soviet Union back together.

“Now, I want you to understand. Here are your choices: Do nothing and look at possible World War III. What you will see is Russia will start to sweep across and gather its old satellites and then possibly more than it’s old satellites. And we will have the same situation that we had on our hands in World War II,” Glenn explained. “But things are different than they were in World War II. So you can either sit it out and do nothing, which is, quite honestly, my recommendation… Or you can get involved in World War III.”

This encroachment theory is an extension of a chalkboard Glenn used to display on his set at Fox. At the time, Glen laid out a situation in which a spark lit in Tunisia would set the Middle East on fire. The unrest would spread from there – first to Europe and then to the rest of the world. The current situation is just a “more formulated updated version” of that prediction.

“Here’s the prediction… This is an extension of what I wrote up on the board years ago at Fox that everybody said was crazy. It would start in Tunisia and then it would spread across the Middle East into Europe and the rest of the world,” Glenn explained. “So this is just a more formulated updated version of this. The unrest will spread. Communist, Radicals, and Islamists will work together to destabilize the Middle East and the Western World. It will spread to Europe, first to restore the Soviet borders, next our enemies will see our lack of unity, military, and financial resolve and collapse and transform the U.S. and the West. The new world order will be China, Russia, socialist outliers, and poverty zones.”

History seems to bear out some version of this prediction very well. As not to be totally doom and gloom, Glenn encouraged the audience to pray.

“It’s absolutely incredible. So may I ask that you say your prayers. May I ask that you pray for the leadership, pray for our country. Pray for our military,” Glenn said. “In the next couple of weeks, we’re probably making the biggest decisions of our lives… If we choose the wrong path, we stay asleep in the ‘Matrix’ or something like that. I’m not really sure. I know if we choose incorrectly, it probably does end up with us in a pod with wires stuck in the back of our head. So we just have to be very careful.”

A Godless Climate Change Movie

“Noah doesn’t really seem to have a real good relationship with God. It’s more like Sinbad the Sailor meets Shining and Friday the 13th, with a sprinkle of Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.”

Glenn spent an action-packed weekend in California, and he reflected on the experience on radio this morning. On Friday, Glenn addressed a crowd at David Horowitz’s West Coast Retreat in California over the weekend about the importance of culture and American history. On Saturday, Glenn had lunch with the Friends of Abe – a group of roughly 1,500 conservative-minded individuals in Hollywood who made headlines earlier this year when it was revealed they had been trying for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status for nearly two years.

But perhaps the most surprising event on Glenn’s itinerary was a private screening of the soon to be released motion picture Noah at Paramount Studios. On Friday, Glenn had some harsh words for the movie that has already been panned by critics for its “aggressive environmentalism” and failure to mention God.

Perhaps in an effort to change the buzz ahead of the film’s release this week, Paramount executives reached out to Glenn and asked if he would like to join them for a screening of the movie. Admitting he felt like a bit of a “dirtball: on Friday for basing his critique purely on someone else’s review, Glenn decided to take Paramount up on its offer.

But would the screening change his mind?

Not exactly.

On radio this morning, Glenn did explain why the movie is “awful” – not for the reasons The Hollywood Reporter review listed – but for “100 other reasons.”

Below is a partial transcript of Glenn’s review:

I went to Los Angeles this weekend after we talked about the movie Noah on Friday and not such a nice way. The producer of the movie, or executive vice president of Paramount called and found out I was in Los Angeles and asked if I would actually see the movie and judge it on its merits. He said the reviewer we were basing our comments on was completely wrong, and he kindly invited us to come to the studios and watch the final print of the movie on Saturday. And we did, because I felt like kind of a dirtball, basing my review on something that I hadn’t seen but on someone else’s review. That’s what people do to me. They don’t listen or watch and then they review. It was wrong of me to do. I want to say this: Everybody at Paramount was unbelievably gracious. And I would love, as I said to him after the movie, I would love to be able to come and report that the movie is great, but I can’t. It is awful, but it is not for the reasons that the reviewer said on Friday. It is awful for 100 other reasons.

Friday, we talked about the review. And in the review, it say it was a heavy-handed environmental movie and there was no mention of God… The review made it sound like this was a godless climate change movie. I believe that it is not a godless climate change movie. It’s more like Sinbad the Sailor meets Shining and Friday the 13th, with a sprinkle of Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.

And it plays as well as a movie that was just clipping all of that stuff together. Instead of referring to God as God, every reference in the movie is ‘the creator.’ That’s fine, but they are definitely talking about God. Noah doesn’t really seem to have a real good relationship with God. He sees some miracles, like oh, I don’t know, his whole family being saved. In an amazing scene, he plants a seed and an entire forest grows in the desert, while he is standing there. Then he looks into the tent and he’s like, ‘Kids, here’s the one for the ark.’ Really, Mr. Noah? That’s what you would say? You wouldn’t even go behold the awesome power of God. You wouldn’t go, ‘Whoa!’ That was weird… It’s so ridiculous, the entire thing. But he is talking to God occasionally…

If you are looking for a biblical movie, this is definitely not it. Others on the team disagreed with this. This was split. Half the team said they couldn’t take the environmentalism. I don’t think it’s an environmentalism thing as much as it’s just pro-animal and antihuman. I mean strongly antihuman, but it’s not the story of Noah that I was hoping for. If you are going for that, you will be horribly disappointed. If you are going for a campy, kind of bad, this is the movie to see. If you are looking for something good, you might not make it past the rock people because we nearly didn’t.

Giant rock people appear at almost the beginning of the movie, kind of like the tree people in Lord of the Rings, except not as well done and of course made of rock. Not quite as talkative. I suppose they won’t burn as easily as the tree people, but… don’t bother checking on the scriptural reference to the rock people…

Have you ever wondered, ‘Hey, how did Noah clear the forest that just sprung up?’ Of course the rock people that God sent down as spirits. Then they were encased in lava, and then they got up, they’re like, ‘Oh, we are watchers. We help Adam. We help you now too.’ You’re like honestly? I felt really bad, because as the rock people story line continued, we all got giggling fits and we started to laugh and mock the movie. And at one point looked over and realized the executive vice president of Paramount, who invited us was standing this, observing how we were reacting to it. And I’m like, ‘I don’t think we’re going to get out of here without telling him exactly how we feel because I think he probably knows at this point.’ Literally laughing at the rock people.

That’s not the biggest problem with Noah. The biggest problem for me was Noah himself. Maybe it’s just me. I’m a little different than some people. I always thought of Noah as more of a nice, gentle guy, prophet of God… I think of him more like that and less of the homicidal maniac that Paramount found in the Bible somehow or another… That is more of the Noah in the Babylonian Chainsaw Massacre – running around, not kidding, trying to kill his whole family… Really quite amazing.

Kathleen Parker in the Washington Post, she really liked the movie. She says:

I recently viewed the film and can confidently report the following: If you liked “Braveheart,” “Gladiator,” “Star Wars,” “The Lord of the Rings,” “Indiana Jones” or “Titanic,” you will like “Noah.” If you liked two or more of the above, you will love “Noah.” Your enjoyment increases exponentially with each movie checked above, though I should warn that “Titanic” made the cut for only one reason, the major difference between it and “Noah” being obvious. “Noah” also includes the essential love story or two, without which no story floats.

Kathleen, could I tell you something, honey? I don’t know what kind of medication you are on, but I loved all of those movies, and all of us hated Noah. We honestly had a conversation, ‘Is it too rude to get up and walk out now, because we’ve got other things to do. We can go collect rocks in the parking lot, where there’s other things we could do?’

I don’t care if you believe in the Noah story. I don’t believe if you think it’s an allegory, if you believe it’s complete fiction, it is entirely up to you. I happen to believe the story of Noah’s Ark is true. And after the invitation, we went and we really wanted to like it. We really did… I really want a good Noah movie.

Bill Maher is like, ‘You can’t be satisfied.’ Rock people, Bill. Rock people. And people like Bill Maher will say, ‘Well, you believe in a sky God.’ I don’t believe in rock people, okay? I have a hard time with that one. It’s not just a biblically bad movie because it treats a prophet of God like a lunatic. There’s no redeeming value in Noah, none. He hates people. I’m sorry. No prophet of God hates people. I never see him try to breach and say turn from your evil ways. Instead, he hides from people because he hates them so much.

He tries to kill his own family. To me, a prophet receives direct communication from God, and Noah is wrong about everything… In the end, the person who makes all the sense is Hermione from Harry Potter. I know she was always the smart one at Hogwarts; but in the ark, I would have liked the prophet of God Noah not to have to go to Hermione and say, ‘Really? We shouldn’t kill the whole family?’ It’s crazy. Crazy…

It’s a $100 million disaster. That’s what it is. They just don’t know what to do… I wish I could have brought different news to you, but I can’t. And I appreciate the people at Paramount understanding because I did talk to them after. It was a really uncomfortable 20 minutes afterwards. He was in there pitching. I wish I can, but I can’t. And I’m sorry. Next time – please invite me again and hopefully it will be a good movie.

THE REVIEWS ARE IN: NOAH PREACHES ‘RABID ENVIRONMENTALISM’ WITH ‘NO MENTION OF GOD’

“Noah Might Not Be The Biblical Based Biopic
Some May Have Been Expecting”

Noah Is Portrayed As A Drunk Who Is Worried About Environmental Issues

Director Darren Aronofsky’s action-packed film adaptation of Noah’s Ark is set it hit theaters March 28. But, as Glenn reported last month, it looks like Noah might not the Biblically based biopic some may have been expecting. Why? Well, for starters, Noah is portrayed as a drunk who is worried about environmental issues. With the release date just around the corner, The Hollywood Reporter has offered one of the first reviews of the film, and it’s not looking good.

“I was turning around on [the film] because… I saw the preview and it looks amazing. It looks great. Maybe I’ll just go see it and ignoring the other stuff,” Stu said on radio this morning. “After reading the review, I don’t think I can get over it.”

The Hollywood Reporter’s Todd McCarthy offers this analysis:

Darren Aronofsky wrestles one of scripture’s most primal stories to the ground and extracts something vital and audacious, while also pushing some aggressive environmentalism, in Noah. Whereas for a century most Hollywood filmmakers have tread carefully and respectfully when tackling biblical topics in big-budget epics aimed at a mass audience, Aronofsky has been daring, digging deep to develop a bold interpretation of a tale which, in the original, offers a lot of room for speculation and invention.

Noah will rile some for the complete omission of the name “God” from the dialogue, others for its numerous dramatic fabrications and still more for its heavy-handed ecological doomsday messages, which unmistakably mark it as a product of its time.

The director/co-writer serves notice of his revisionism right away, mutating the opening line of Genesis into, “In the beginning there was nothing.”

Glenn likened Noah to Oliver Stone’s biopic JFK, which was produced with a clearly non-historical agenda in mind.

“Oliver Stone made JFK for a reason… to pump into the system the disinformation of the CIA. Now people look at that and say, ‘That’s got to be the real story.’ No, that’s not the real story. That’s not anywhere close to the real story. But people view that movie as fact,” Glenn explained. “This movie, if it becomes successful… our children will look at that as being the Noah story… It is dangerous disinformation. But I haven’t seen it nor will I because I think it’s a slap in the face.”

If Noah flops, you can bet Hollywood studios will use it as an excuse to stop making religious-themed films. The success of Roma Downey and Mark Burnett’s The Bible miniseries and Son of God feature film, prove there is a desire for this content.

“Look at a movie like son of God, which… [in] one weekend alone it made $26.5 million in its opening weekend,” Pat said.

Regardless of what it means for the future of the genre, Glenn hopes that Noah is “a massive failure.”

“I hope that Noah is a massive failure. I hope it is a massive, massive failure,” Glenn concluded. “The only thing they have you on is eye candy – are you going to go because you want to see what it looked like?”

Just not how he is doing it.’ And I want you to listen because what he’s saying is: If we don’t wake up right now, we will be very sorry.”

“Listen to what he said: I don’t agree with Saul Alinsky that the ends justify the means. The ends I agree with. The means are wrong. And then he says it is dangerous. Turley admits President Obama has overstepped his bounds. In the case of any other president that would grounds for serious ramifications or even impeachment. But that Congress is simply not taking action. Ultimately, Pat believes Turley has proved himself to be a true patriot for raising the red flag.

“How interesting is it. This is a true patriot here. I don’t care what you think of his politics; he’s a true patriot. And he’s saying, ‘Hey, you guys, wake up. Take back what is yours, what belongs to you, and fight.’” Pat explained. “And when everybody else on the left is yelling at the House of Representatives as the ones who are holding everything up, who are stopping, standing in the way of progress. He’s telling them you’re not doing enough. Get off your butts and do something here to save the country. Wow. He gets it.”

ANY abuse of power by a President is GROSS ABUSE and is NOT tolerable, regardless of party affiliation. This isn't about Republicans or Democrats. This is about a President and Executive branch that has and continues to over step their authority and Legislative and Judicial branches that are JUST AS GUILTY for allowing it to happen, and worse continue to happen! The Legislative branch has fallen all over itself to please the President (“We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy.” Nancy Pelosi on Obamacare, just the first example that comes to my mind). BECK WANTS TO ‘SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT’ ON OBAMACARE: ‘FOR FIVE YEARS YOU WERE CALLED CRAZY’

“You Were Called A Liar. What Was Called ‘Crazy’
Has Become America’s Reality.”

Erica Ritz, TheBlaze — Glenn Beck spent the first hour of his radio program Thursday “setting the record straight” on the Affordable Care Act, saying those in power have “no idea how the free market system works” and the members of the press who have carried water for the administration absolutely “disgust” him.

“You were called a liar,” Beck told his audience. “For five years you have been called crazy, and now what was called ‘crazy’ has become America’s reality.”

Beck played multiple sound bites of what those in power claimed would happen, what he and members of his audience said would actually happen, and the final result according to the latest report from the Congressional Budget Office.

Beck highlighted a number of ramifications of Obamacare, including whether it would contribute to the nation’s outstanding national debt. He noted that President Barack Obama swore to the American people that the bill would be deficit-neutral over the next 10 years, before pointing out that the CBO projects the law will cost about $1.8 trillion over the next decade alone.

Beck also reminded listeners of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s assertion that millions of jobs would be created as the result of Obamacare, before noting the CBO has estimated the bill will cause 2 million fewer American workers starting in 2017, and millions more after that.

“You knew we were being lied to,” Beck said. “I want somebody to finally recognize that the American people have been onto this for a long time. Trust yourself, empower yourself. Don’t you listen to the press, don’t you listen to the government, because they are wrong. And you know what? The government gets something out of it. The press has no excuse. They are lazy and ignorant.”

Beck re-read emails from listeners from 2009, all of whom said they would be unable to expand as planned, or would have to lay people off as the result of the new taxes, fines, and thousands of pages of regulation imposed by Obamacare.

“All these people in Washington, they are all responsible,” Beck said hotly. “All of them are responsible for the death of this economy, and you need to know.”

Beck said those who are opposed to Obamacare may be “powerless” over the Democrats, but they are not powerless over the Republicans.

“You want to continue the “transformation” and go along happily, or do you want to stand and correct the aberration of history, that we are nothing more than dependents on some government parent?” Beck asked. “That’s the rest of the world — that’s not America.”
