It Does Seem This Is All Part Of
The Fundamental Transformation Obama Promised

Allen West — Last week, Texas Governor Rick Perry said it is highly likely ISIS is already in the United States, crossing over our unsecured southern border. He’s not the only one.

As reported by Breitbart, “Former CIA covert operations officer Mike Baker said that he believes there is “a lot of communication” between ISIS and Mexican drug cartels given past efforts by al-Qaida to do likewise on Thursday’s “Laura Ingraham Show.” “We’ve had good intel over the years about al-Qaida, about their efforts to coordinate with, as an example, Mexican cartels…in an effort to try to exploit our southern border” he reported, adding that a terrorist group like ISIS “absolutely” knows about the lack of security on the border.”

This is nothing new, as we’ve already have some instances of terrorists being aided and abetted by Mexican drug cartels — which Governor Rick Perry more aptly described as “narco-terrorists.” Don’t forget that two planned attacks were foiled targeting our nation’s capital — one against the ambassadors of Saudi Arabia and Israel, the other a Capitol Hill terrorist attack. In both cases, terrorists aligned with al-Qaida or Iran received support from the narco-terrorists.

ISIS has a large financing stream with assets reportedly nearly $2 billion. The narco-terrorists will provide safe passage for anyone across our porous border for a price.

This is another reason why the GOP needs to – no, MUST win the majority in the Senate so current Majority Leader Harry Reid can be dismissed. After all, it was Reid who openly stated that our southern border is secure — a statement so absurd it demonstrates the man has lost his touch with reality. Both Reid and Obama are turning a blind eye toward a dedicated existential threat to our sovereignty and security all for cheap political gain.

Earlier this week, according to Breitbart, Rep. Ted Poe (R-Tx), a member of the House Judiciary Committee on Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security, was asked if there is any current interaction between ISIS and Mexican drug cartels. He said “In my opinion, yes there seems to be a talking to each other”

He added, “The drug cartels use the same operational plan as terrorist groups do … They kill their opponents, they behead their opponents, they brag about it and they have operational control of many portions of the southern border of the United States. They’re vicious as some of these other terrorist organizations.”

And meanwhile, our president plays golf.

A prudent Commander-in-Chief would be assessing the most dangerous course of action for ISIS. A prudent leader would have walked the border and assessed the gaps where our Republic is most vulnerable and allocated the proper security assets to protect our nation. A “JV team” doesn’t possess the global reach ISIS has, and a “JV team” wouldn’t have the chutzpah to behead an American and post the video on YouTube for the world to see.

This is not a “criminal investigation,” it is deliberate and open aggression. It is war, as determined by our enemy. We either accept it, or continue as the Obama administration does — to dismiss, deny and disregard this threat — all to the detriment of our country.

I don’t want to say I told you so — but it does seem this is all part of the fundamental transformation Obama promised.

It might be the only thing he hasn’t lied about.

What’s ‘Easily’ Smuggled In

Drew Zahn, WND — America’s porous southern border and the recent surge in illegal immigration is more than just a “humanitarian crisis,” claims the top U.S. general in charge of Central and South America, it’s a threat to the United States’ very existence.

Marine Corps Gen. John Kelly is commander of the U.S. Southern Command, or SOUTHCOM, charged with responsibility for the Caribbean Sea and all lands south of Mexico.

Particularly in regards to the drug trade, murder rates and terrorist activity brewing in Central America, Kelly says, the waves of Latin Americans sweeping through Mexico and illegally into Texas presents a threat to the U.S. every bit as serious as Iran or North Korea.

“In comparison to other global threats, the near collapse of societies in [this] hemisphere with the associated drug and [illegal immigrant] flow are frequently viewed to be of low importance,” Kelly said in an interview with Defense One. “Many argue these threats are not existential and do not challenge our national security. I disagree.”

It isn’t the first time Kelly has sounded the alarm. In testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee in March, Kelly complained that budget cuts in recent years have handcuffed the military’s ability to shut down many drug and human trafficking corridors.

“Last year, we had to cancel more than 200 very effective engagement activities and numerous multilateral exercises,” Kelly said, explaining that a full 74 percent of “actionable illicit trafficking events” simply go unanswered, because he doesn’t have the funds or resources to do anything about it.

“I simply sit and watch it go by,” he continued. “And because of service cuts, I don’t expect to get any immediate relief, in terms of assets, to work with in this region of the world.”

Worse yet, he continued, with smuggling routes wide open for business, it’s far more than cocaine or children seeking a better life getting a free pass across the border.

“Clearly, criminal networks can move just about anything on these smuggling pipelines,” Kelly said in testimony before the House Armed Services Committee in February. “Terrorist organizations could seek to leverage those same smuggling routes to move operatives with intent to cause grave harm to our citizens or even quite easily bring weapons of mass destruction into the United States.”

SOUTHCOM’s intelligence assets reveal the possibility is far more than just crying wolf.

“Supporters and sympathizers of Lebanese Hezbollah are involved in both licit and illicit activities in the region,” Kelly told Congress. “Members, supporters, and adherents of Islamic extremist groups are present in Latin America. Islamic extremists visit the region to proselytize, recruit, establish business venues to generate funds, and expand their radical networks. Some Muslim communities in the Caribbean and South America are exhibiting increasingly extremist ideology and activities, mostly as a result from ideologues’ activities and external influence from the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia. Mr. Chairman, we take all these activities seriously.”

Threat Spreads Through U.S.

As America’s top military eye on Central America, Kelly is also warning that the recent spike in illegal immigrants moving from countries like Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras across the U.S. border presents another level of threat. Those three countries, he noted, are all among the Top 5 nations worldwide in homicide rates, in part because of their rampant gang activity.

“Although there are a number of other countries I work with in Latin America and the Caribbean that are going in the same direction,” Kelly told Defense One, “the so-called Northern Triangle (Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras) is far and away the worst off.”

Since October, tens of thousands of migrants have made the dangerous journey north from Latin America to the United States border. Many are children, and statistics show the vast majority of the immigrants in the recent influx are unaccompanied minors who have traveled from Central America’s “Northern Triangle.”

And between rampant drug trafficking and human trafficking of Central American youngsters, Kelly warned Congress, cartels and gangs that have already spread throughout the U.S. will only grow more dangerous.

“Chairman, gone are the days of the ‘cocaine cowboys,’” Kelly testified. “Instead, we and our partners are confronted with cocaine corporations that have franchises all over the world, including 1,200 American cities, as well as criminal enterprises like the violent transnational gang Mara Salvatrucha, or MS-13, that specialize in extortion and human trafficking.

“The FBI has warned that MS-13 has a significant presence in California, North Carolina, New York, and northern Virginia, and is expanding into new areas of the United States, including Indian reservations in South Dakota,” he concluded.

Roger Noriega, an American Enterprise Institute fellow and former assistant secretary of state for Western Hemisphere affairs during the George W. Bush administration, was quoted last month in the Washington Free Beacon putting a fine point on how gang activity and arms smuggling could create problems not just along the border, but anywhere in the country.

“There’s going to be a time when MS-13 fires an RPG into an Alexandria [Va.] police car, and [Americans] are going to say, ‘What the hell happened?’” Noriega said.

Kelly concluded his appeal before the House Armed Services Committee by arguing the U.S. needs to call upon and equip the military to protect our southern border, now more than ever.

“Some of my counterparts perceive that the United States is disengaging from the region and from the world in general,” Kelly said. “We should remember that our friends and allies are not the only ones watching our actions closely. … And in the meantime, drug traffickers, criminal networks, and other actors, unburdened by budget cuts, cancelled activities, and employee furloughs, will have the opportunity to exploit the partnership vacuum left by reduced U.S. military engagement.” » Full Article

You know it’s bad news when the Obama regime dumps news or regulations on a Friday night or on the verge of a major national holiday.

As most citizens and reporters were preparing to celebrate America’s Independence Day, the 4th of July, the Obama bureaucrats were busy inflicting 1,296 pages of new health care regulations on an already highly over-regulated industry. At 4:15 PM on July 3, when many were checking out for the three-day weekend, the Obama HHS delivered a massive stack of new regulations.

Federalist Paper No. 62, written by Founding Father James Madison, considered the “Father of the Constitution,” wrote a warning about massive laws, constantly changing and incoherent:

Written By Michael, The American Dream — Do we want to encourage drug dealers, violent gang members and serial rapists to come into this country? If not, why is that exactly what the Obama administration is doing? Thanks to very foolish U.S. government policies, it is incredibly difficult to immigrate to this country legally, but it is incredibly easy to immigrate to this country illegally. So we are keeping out large numbers of good, honest, hard working people at the same time that we have given a giant green light to criminals and lawbreakers. Does that make any sense at all? We need an immigration system that forces everyone to come in through the front door. Instead, we have made the process of getting in through the front door a complete and total nightmare and yet we have left the back door totally wide open. And if the millions upon millions of lawbreakers that are coming in to this country illegally just took our jobs and drained our welfare system, perhaps it wouldn’t be that bad. Unfortunately, that is not the case. In fact, illegal immigration has greatly contributed to rising violent crime rates all over the nation. Gang membership is exploding, Mexican drug cartels are operating in more of our communities than ever before, and identity theft by illegal immigrants is at epidemic levels. Something desperately needs to be done.

But instead, the Obama administration is trying to ram amnesty for illegal immigrants through Congress as quickly as possible. According to the Congressional Budget Office, this bill will cause unemployment to go up and wages to go down for many years. And by rewarding illegal immigration, the federal government will just encourage much more of it. But our politicians don’t really seem concerned with the consequences. In fact, the Senate is going to vote on the immigration bill without even reading it.

Instead of focusing on what we “owe” to those that have broken our laws by entering this country illegally, perhaps we should be talking about some of the horrible crimes that they have been committing while they have been living here.

For example, it recently came out that illegal immigrants have been stealing massive amounts of money from the federal government by filing fraudulent tax returns.

According to one recent news report, the IRS sent “23,994 tax refunds worth a combined $46,378,040″ to a single address in Atlanta, Georgia. All of those fraudulent tax refunds were sent to illegal immigrants.

How in the world did the IRS not catch that?

Amazingly, that was not the only address in Atlanta where this kind of thing was going on…

The IRS sent 11,284 refunds worth a combined $2,164,976 to unauthorized alien workers at a second Atlanta address; 3,608 worth $2,691,448 to a third; and 2,386 worth $1,232,943 to a fourth.

And here are some more examples from around the country where huge numbers of fraudulent tax refunds were being sent to a single address…

Oxnard, California; 2,507 refunds worth $10,395,874.

Raleigh, North Carolina; 2,408 refunds worth $7,284,212.

Phoenix, Arizona; 2,047 refunds worth $5,558,608.

Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; 1,972 refunds worth $2,256,302.

San Jose, California; 1,942 refunds worth $5,091,027.

Arvin, California; 1,846 refunds worth $3,298,877.

Overall, it has been estimated that 2 million illegal immigrants file fraudulent tax returns each year and that they are pulling in more than 4 billion dollars in tax refunds each year that they are not entitled to.

So why doesn’t the IRS do something about this?

Well, perhaps it is because they are too busy harassing conservatives. In fact, we have recently learned that the head of the IRS made dozens of trips to the White House during Obama’s first term, and his chief of staff actually made hundreds of visits to the White House during Obama’s first term.

Instead of spending all that time plotting how to hurt their political enemies, perhaps they should have been doing something about the 2 million fraudulent tax returns that illegal immigrants are flooding the system with.

And illegal immigrants are responsible for an increasing percentage of violent crime in this country. In fact, some of those that you see on the television marching for “immigration reform” are actually committing violent crimes during their free time. For example, it turns out that a top “immigration rights activist” down in Texas was really a serial bank robber…

Hispanic leaders in North Texas are stunned that an accused serial bank robber was once one of their own. Luis Delagarza was arrested for the April robbery of a Wells Fargo Bank, but an FBI Task Force also identified him as the ‘Mesh Mask Bandit’ whose hit 19 banks since New Year’s Eve. The ‘Mesh Mask Bandit’ robbed most of his banks in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch-North Dallas area. But they are also just a few blocks away from Delagarza’s home in Farmers Branch, in a community where he made a name for himself pushing for immigration rights. His arrest has left fellow activists, such as Carlos Quintanilla, in shock.

“Luis Delagarza robbed banks, I guess, to deal with his demons, and that’s a sad story,” Quintanilla told CBS 11. Latinos in North Texas may remember Delagarza as an organizer of protests and marches for immigration rights, like one in Irving in 2007. “So he did some amazing things as a community leader, as a businessman, and all of that was just poisoned by him becoming a serial bank robber,” according to Quintanilla.

But robbing a bank is one thing. Attacking innocent women is much worse.

Unfortunately, the national media doesn’t like to talk about all of the rapes that illegal immigrants are committing. The following is from a local news report about a serial rapist that turned out to be an illegal immigrant in the Dallas area…

As investigators continue to delve into the background of the man arrested in recent rapes in the Lake Highlands area, residents began to exhale Wednesday after more than a month of fear.

“I have felt terrorized,” said Erin Morgan, who lives less than a mile from two of the three houses where attacks occurred. “I have lost sleep. I have added on additional layers of security to my home and thought through scenarios that I didn’t want to spend any time thinking through.”

Police say Cesar Benitez confessed to three attacks on women within about a quarter-mile of each other between Feb. 22 and March 19.

And sometimes they don’t just attack adult women.

Just check out what one very sick illegal immigrant recently did over in California…

On Saturday, police in Barstow arrested Jose Luis Aguilar, 36, at a Greyhound bus station after he reportedly sexually assaulted and beat his girlfriend’s baby daughter to death.

A day earlier, the baby’s mother, Jennifer Reedy, 31, awoke to find her daughter lying dead in her crib.

Aguilar was gone, as was Reedy’s car and money from her purse.

Police were able to find Aguilar using the GPS in his cellphone.

So why is the federal government encouraging these people to come into this country?

We need an immigration policy that encourages productive, law abiding people to move here and that keeps violent criminals out.

Unfortunately, our current policy is allowing hordes of lawless young men to come flooding into this country, and as a result gang membership is absolutely exploding.

The FBI says that there are approximately 1.4 million gang members in the United States at this point, and that number has risen by an astounding 40 percent just since 2009.

Is that a good thing for our nation?

And these gangs are starting to gain a stranglehold on communities all over the nation. Just check out what is happening in Chicago…

Of the seven biggest Mexican drug trafficking organizations, the Sinaloa cartel has the biggest foothold in the U.S. Some estimates indicate that the group moves an average of one kilo of cocaine across the Nation’s border every 10 minutes. With the large amount of product coming into the United States, the cartels have set up hubs of operation here to manage distribution, and not just in border States.

In Chicago, where prolific violence makes headlines daily, Sinaloa has set up its American base of operations, tapping in to the heavily Mexican population of the city’s Little Village area.

“Chicago, with 100,000 gang members to put the dope on the street, is a logistical winner for the Sinaloa cartel,” Jack Riley, the Drug Enforcement Administration’s special agent in charge of the Chicago field division, told The Washington Post after a tour through Little Village. “We have to operate now as if we’re on the Mexican border.”

But this kind of thing is not just happening in major cities such as Chicago. It is spreading very, very rapidly.

According to the Justice Department’s National Drug Intelligence Center, Mexican drug cartels were actively operating in 50 different U.S. cities in 2006. By 2010, that number had skyrocketed to 1,286.

Are you starting to understand why so many people are upset about our illegal immigration crisis?

But many of our politicians in Washington don’t care about these things. In particular, Democrats seem to be obsessed with the idea that legalizing illegal immigrants will gain them hordes of loyal new voters.

And some of these politicians are warning that if we don’t legalize the illegal immigrants that we could see massive street protests. The following is what Senator Chuck Schumer told CNN on Sunday…

I could see a million people on the mall in Washington — on the platform would not be the usual suspects but the leaders of business, the leaders of the Evangelical movement, the leaders of high tech as well as most Americans pressuring the House to act. I think they’re going to have to act whether they have a majority of Republicans [in the House] or not.

Unfortunately, no matter what happens to this bill the illegal immigration crisis is not going away. The Obama administration has already shown that it will continue to do everything that it can to promote even more illegal immigration.

But this is not what the American people want. In fact, one recent survey showed that even 68 percent of Hispanics in Texas support more border security.

We need to secure our border, and we need to make sure that all immigrants come in through the front door. Instead, the federal government seems to want to do everything that it can to make life easier for those that have broken our laws and that are taking advantage of us. One of my favorite columnists, Devvy Kidd, recently put it this way…

Do we reward bank robbers who steal what doesn’t belong to them? Do we reward thieves who rob a gas station? Illegal aliens are no different. They lie and cheat their way into this country. They steal people’s identities ruining their credit and lives. They steal the fruits of our labor to pay for their illegal babies, education and the massive cost of clogging our judicial system with their crimes. And now we’re going to reward them?
